I went to the West Village Emily location recently and they gave me the seasoned waffle fries with my burger. Amazing!

I know NYC and surrounding area is expensive, but its still amazing to see. Can get amazing burgers in Houston at from 1/3 to 1/2 the price. But that burger you ate did look good.

I’m sad to hear about the fries, I lived in the neighborhood when they opened and the fries were excellent along with the french-esque herbed mayo they served with them. I’ve been meaning to go back there… one of my old haunts. Funny, when they first added the burger I was confused because their pizza was so good and gave Speedy Romeo’s (another similar pizza place in the neighborhood) a run for their money. I only ever ordered it for the first time because it sounded good and I was intrigued by the pretzel bun… holy cow was I in for a religious experience when I did that. That was one of the most delicious things I had ever eaten at that point and perhaps may never get beaten just for that pure delight… especially not having any preconceived notions or expectations. I more or less made it my duty to tell as many people about how good their burger was…bringing friends from Pratt and whatnot.. XD. Was so glad when they got the recognition their deserved but also sad because for a long long time it became nearly impossible to eat there. Nowadays they have such a reputation I think it paradoxically hurts them also nobody likes increased prices. PS: I feel like i need to try the Black Label Burger a second time because back when I had it I was honestly underwhelmed by it.

Nice to know the differences and links between the businesses. I usually go for a non-gimmicky burger, and I don't even like to put ketchup on a good burger. However, this burger has always piqued my curiosity. For one, it's a single patty as opposed to 2 at the other place. I j was always deterred by the amount of sauce. I supposed I could ask for it on the side...

I live in Brooklyn and went there 2 weeks ago based on what I had read over the past few years, and while the bones of the $32 burger were spectacular, it was toxically salty, and they served me a $9 warm beer.

I just had it last night it's not the best burger nor is it very impressive. If you want an over priced burger that's ok then try it but I'm not having it again. I was not impressed by it. I dont get how this is top of list, I literally do not see myself ever eating it again. Lol

That burger is some weak ass shit. For $30 bucks I'll make you a dozen burgers that are 3x the size, more charred, and juicier loaded with fried onions, 3 oz cheese, and any dressing on a brioche bun that doesn't look like a half dollar.
