Ah ha. Thanks to you, my list of interesting places and delicious things to see and try, grows and grows. It only remains for me to thank you infinitely.
"I savagely bit into the meringue" You animal. I miss City Bakery which used to make it's own massive square marshmallows. I once had to call a friend to come and pick me up because I had a sugar moment and passed out on a snowbank after City Bakery.
It was a great relaxed experience with wonderful service and product. I used to reward myself after every IRS audit because my accountant was next door. Memories. @@Jamesnu
City Bakery was everything. Was a regular. The February hot chocolate month was legendary with a different infused flavor everyday with their own house made marshmallows. So rich they would offer just shot size to those whose constitution didn’t want to risk it.
Hi James! Love the channel. I'm visiting NYC in a couple of months with my parents and wanna take them out for a nice dinner. What would you recommend with a budget around $200 per person.
Thank you! There are plenty of great options at that price point. If you want to go to a steakhouse I would recommend Keens or Delmonico's, both are very impressive. Delmonico's provides many other excellent dishes other than steak. I would also take a look at 63 Clinton as their tasting menu is of great value.
I live around the corner from Glace and i've yet been able to get one of these because of the lines. Between Glace and Milano Market going viral on Tik Tok recently, I can't get hot chocolate or Italian sandwiches in my neighborhood anymore lol It's insane haha
It's not very big. Compared to photos, it seems smaller in person, but personally, I thought that it was a nice size, but the price was just too expensive.
Well if Starbucks doesn't do it for you this isn't all that much more. WTH not something I could do every day but ya gotta treat yourself sometimes. Thanks again for another great video!
Glace is next door to Eli Zabar's, home of the $29 ham and cheese sandwich. I tried the hot chocolate without all those toppings. It's ok. Not even close to being one of the best, imho. Bad Habit is way better. My personal favorites are Burdick and MarieBelle.
Like you said, trie once, but not a repeat. $ 13,- for a (upscaled) coffee?! I'm the fortunate owner of a full automatic Swiss espresso machine. Set to my demanding standards (with the right beans). I am also a trained professional baker. One plus one...
I love chocolate but for that price I can buy some milk, some chocolate, whip cream & marshmallows & have several cups of hot chocolate...lol!! I agree it looks delicious but that price is ridiculous. Keep up the great work & videos.
I waited over an hour for Japanese cheesecake in Toronto Ontario Canada. Uncle Tetsu was definitely not worth the price. Although Japanese cheesecakes seem much superior to regular cheesecake because they are very light bouncy and fluffy the taste to me was not worth $12 Canadian for a 6 inch round.
actually stopped buying drinks outside on a regular basis. Prepare my hot drinks a home... it looks so delicious tho ... veryNew York I guess, maybe a coffeenote is missing.. could be nic e with the dri nk
It was definitely good and I was fortunate that I didn't have to wait in any lines. Yeah, if one has the right stuff, you can definitely make a great hot chocolate.
