I did a quick Google search and it looks like Princes was around longer. They started in 1945 and it was given to his great grand-daughter in 1980's. Hattie B's was first opened in 2012. Bro why they lying? I'm glad prince won then.

I'm glad you were honest.❤ You didn't say it mean..just matter of fact. Some ppl can't handle the truth. Kinda worse they knew you were there to compare and still gave you cold crappy food. Dang😔

The place with the better chicken is the originator, think about it, a second place opens, knock's off the chicken (subpart quality and taste) then it's obvious they stole the story as well. You can also tell the waitress at the second spot did not even really know the story so that says a lot.
Those chicken sandwiches may be hot, but the merch from BrennenTaylor.com is hotter - actually on FIRE!! Grab your swag before quantities are GONE!! Brennen Taylor merch is the most FIRE in the game!!! Have a great weekend, TaylorFam!!
There you go brennie papo / papo brennie tell hattie b the truth like it is!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 Say it savagely blunt never be afraid to speak up on your opinion. They just big mad like a big mac hater that their chicken sammich wasn't any good than prince's chicken sammich. I liked how you said the results are in just like maury. Hatti b you're not the father of chicken sammich. The results of prince's chicken sammich Prince you are the father of the chicken sammich 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 sorry i had to say it
@brennen Taylor fam Prince is the 100% the originator of the Nashville Hot Chicken. They been in Nashville since the 1940s. My family literally knows and grew up with the Prince family. So Hattie B's is a pure ripoff.
Well, since Hattie B's knew you already ate at Priness, they could've probably made the sandwich extra special for you that's why the presenatation looked better.
I think there was just confusion at the till at Hattie B’s. Princes is the originator of Nashville Hot Chicken , but they just did quarter pieces and not sandwiches , Hattie B’s startled doing the sandwiches first. The reason they told the same story is because that is the story of Nashville hot chicken. The real other originator is Boltons. Hattie B’s only opened in 2014 so it’s unlikely they will actually claim to be the originator, I think the server was just confused by the question about hot chicken or hot chicken sandwich.
Most of my life it was just Prince's. Later on we had Bolton's. To me, anything that came along after those are just tourist traps even if they are good. Prince's and Bolton's were sketchy places with great chicken, nothing like these new places. We never really called it hot chicken either, it was just chicken until people started moving here and calling hot chicken a Nashville thing. The way that girl at Hattie B's lied about the story appalls me. I would never recommend them to anyone and it's a shame people see them as a representation of Nashville.
Nope! Prince's was the absolute first. It was around when I was a kid and I am 65 years old. Hatties jumped in on the band wagon and set up where the tourists were.
It can be the husband who started the fist chicken spot and the wife started it after she saw the success and saying there both the original creaters of the hot chicken 🤷♂️🤷♂️
I think the story is also from Korean, the spicy chicken about the wife and husband came home(You can search more about it). So now idk which one is original but from what I believe.. I think… the original story maybe.. from Korea?.. that just my thought. Let me know if you know where it’s origin story. It is an interesting story 😊
Please come to SAC OR DAVIS and try the Nash and proper chicken sammich, its soo good. Their SAUCE its called Fuego idk what they put in that shit but its addicting. If you are a vegetarian then get the cauliflower sammich, I don't even cauliflower and its soo good.
I’ve never had prince’s but I was driving through Nashville with my dad and begged him to try Hattie B’s personally, I also agree that the sandwiches at Hattie B’s aren’t that great, but I also had the chicken tenders & I do strongly recommend them. They were definitely better and really good. also, I fucking loved the potato salad and baked beans so good
I like how the Hattie b’s lady is telling Prince’s story. I’ve been eating Prince’s for 25 years and Hattie B’s only been open just several years now. Princes did not have sandwiches back then or tenders. Just bone in goodness. Hattie B’s made the first sandwich and only popularized hot chicken. Also she needs to pay respect to the originators.
