Some times these deals from companies feels like a punch in the balls. I'll spend thousands of bucks a year, possibly ten thousand... And you want to incentivize me with what? Charge me more money for crap I don't want? That first pass at CEs is brilliant. I'd jump on that. With ebay and Amazon and everyone else doing better online that EB/Gamestop, you'd think they'd try just A LITTLE to earn/keep my business. It offends me morally and capitalistically. Cheers.
listening then made me think even more about the buy x get 1, for socks it should have been a more logic number if nothing else 7days a week so buy 6 get 1. I'm just waiting on them ripping out current level up benefits to artificially add value to this paid one. they forget the whole idea of loyalty cards is to reward not to pay for the benefit. - if you are paying it would be cool if they at least added few extra bonuses that incentivized going into the store, ie perhaps if you are a paid member you can go in your local shops 'random lottery' for one of the promo posters once they finish with it. to give example, for Halo infinite release shop has 12 promo posters, as a paid member you can put your name down for one, if only 12 put their name down everyone gets 1, if 30 then it becomes a 'drawn from hat'. - alternatively perhaps it allows x amount of interstore orders, hate when looking at something on their site that they say is 'instore only' but then it is in say in WA (ie impossible to get realistically)
Hilarious that no one saw this grifting bullshit coming. EB cleared out the competition in Australia by being ruthless so they could have a monopoly & pull stunts like this. As they are on their last legs & becoming desperate shit like this is now being trotted out in the hope of getting braindead mouth breathers who shop at this place to sign up when the staff pretend to be their friends (as long as they can stand the body odour). I'll just stick to my favourites like Big W & JB Hi-Fi. Big W give a standing 10% off with their sub. Imagine that? An actual discount off merchandise. Astonishing!
