This still also doesn’t account for pre errata and wave 1 the fact that romance dawn has three separate waves with different word texts is kinda big for collector market
Im not out here reselling… but Why reprint set 1??? my “1st edition charizard” is reprinted!? Can we get an ‘unlimited set instead?’ So many babies were late to the party and cried bc they don’t have what the ogs have. Make new reprint cards or label them differently. Don’t punish your loyal collectors. You dont HAVE to run the wave 1 and 2 alt arts to play. All these RU-vidrs doing market watches, telling you they want cards to be ‘more available to newbies’ all while telling you when price$ are changing. Ofc They are all Actively scalping (I told u tell sell X card at this time!) (I sold X card last feb for X$ the highest amount of money) Win goes to Bandai… goodbye legacy cards I was so proud to own due to exclusivity.
Yes. Bandai is making profit now, but probably plp will not get hyped for other releases, like union arena or any other game they make. And the ones crying are the ones who would not buy anyway... I'm done with bandai boxes, singles all the way...
If you have first wave pre Eratta you have nothing to worry about they will NEVER be reprinted. If u don’t have pre Eratta your complaining for nothing, your collection was already worthless
Was so happy to get a sealed box for 130 at a lgs. Sure, i couldve kept it sealed and its worth a lot more eventually, but whats the fun in that? I opened it and gave away some wano cards to a new player who wanted to build rg oden. Glad they did this reprint
People called me a hater when I said that EVENTUALLY the bubble was gonna pop. Were people actually expecting to keep making money forever? Supply would have eventually reached demand, OR the excessive scarcity would have chocked the game aspect, killing the game scene and harshly reducing desirability anyway. TCGs are not NFTs, stop using them as such. If you want to talk stocks, just invest into actual stocks. Oh right, half the shady shit people do with tcgs would get them into hot water into the marketplace proper.
Just seeing a lot of people complaing about collecting vaule rather than collecting for the cards themselves. This is a TCG. Trading Card Game, GAME. We shouldn't have to spend "collecter" prices for a card we want to use to play the game we enjoy. One thing i hear all the time when people try to enter the game is that prices for singles can make it difficult to enter the game. Seeing this reprint, and hopefully more, even tho i dont need it. Makes me happy that an opportunity has opened for new or existing players to get cards they needed for decks they want to use at a more reasonable price. Then i see a bunch of solutions collecters are putting here that make absolutely no sense for those trying to play this GAME. Like rather than reprinting an older set, make a new set with same cards but new arts? Why do that when the obvious easiest and healthy thing to do for the GAME is just reprint.
I’m laughing at the peeps that say there are peeps trying to enter the game but can’t because OP-01 & 2 is to expensive.. we are at OP-08. With over 12 starter decks available. The last 4 sets have been plenty affordable and also different art versions of expensive cards are now printed at a cheaper price and easy to obtain. OP-01 should be left where it was. It’s OG . It deserves to have the highest value and rarity because the ones that originally gambled on the set on release made the right choice and deserves to be rewarded. Just my opinion. Most of the Leaders from OP-01 aren’t very viable anymore. They are now surviving on collectibility. If OG Charizard was easy to obtain it would be worthless. Don’t ruin the game for the collectors. I’m not a reseller at all. I value the quality of the cards, anime, art style & rarity
Immagine thinking op05 was affordable. Immagine talking about availability when my locals cannot even preorder op07 or st 15-20 because some scumbag would Just buy them out. You're Just sad because you cannot scam people into thinking a set only a year old Is worth as much as a 20+ years old Pokemon set. This game means nothing to you, you're only in It for the money. Actual players have been crying for reprints for a very long time, having starter deck cards reach 40$ is abnormal. Yes this is gonna hurt the value of people's deck, but it Is necessary because otherwise new players would just starve when EVERY. SINGLE. PRODUCT. was bought out completely.
I picked a couple of booster the prices never mattered to me because I didn't over pay anyways so I'm still looking at 5 booster boxes just sitting on my shelf. I actually just looked at the prices on tcg player now I want more🎉
Great, I want more people to experience the joys of this card game, just like I did when i first opened it on release. I want more people with more cards. Get everyone to play the game. Make an online app like the SIM so that people can play for free. I'm happy we get more players. f*ck you scalpers, this is what you deserve. Sell your ONE PIECE STUFF!!! I'll buy it at all at low prices :)
Yes+ I am happy that it's getting rewarded and I hope the rest of the sets follow! I want more people to experience this game and be able to pick up cards at reasonable prices!
@@GUMGUM-TCG Listen, i agree for the collector side it does suck a bit, that the Intellectual Property is not valued as high because of the practices of a big company. But there are still PRE ERRATA cards that are not going to get reprinted, and ofc the bluebottom op01 sets. Which maybe not enough for people, but the artwork is soooo clean and i can gloat about having this special op01 nami that will never get printed again because of the wording is a bit special. Xd WE LOVE CARDBOARD WE LOVE CARDBOARD (oh and i guess we like luffy too...)
That's really sad news. People don't understand that reprints will make their decks worthless. For collector's market it's really bad too since people bought their pieces for big money and lost so much money now that they're going down. Every TCG needs a set which have expensive hits. Now that they reprinted the first set to the ground what's the point in collecting anything... Bandai killed another TCG.
A lot of the higher hits are still holding more value than other sets! I do think this reprint was necessary though to give more newer players easier access to these older cards. Romance dawn is coming up on 2 years old in a few months!
@@GUMGUM-TCG the cards still have solid worth, they're just not astronomical. I'm finally getting my playset of AA Mihawks and Doffy blockers now that they aren't $90 a pop
@@GUMGUM-TCG I don't get why Bandai still don't get it? What they should do is leaving those old sets alone, not reprinting anything. Instead they should release new sets with those cards with different characters and artworks. That way people will still have cards to play BUT they won't kill collectibility of the older cards. That way prices would still be high for old prints for people who likes to collect and for players they could use cards from the newer sets. Now that they reprinted OP01 to the ground + we're getting "the best of" set later this year, the prices for those cards will be next to zero. People are too dumb to see bigger picture and only see "oh great now I can buy playset of cards I couldn't buy before". You have to look at bigger picture here. In the longrun no one will want to buy those cards. Bandai is killing another TCG next to DB and Digimon with their insane reprints. RIP OP.
Congrats bandai and tcg sjw, you killed collectability, now plp will not buy boxes and just want cheap singles, when collectors stop buying this overpriced cardboard boxes, who will sell cheap singles?
Uuh, the shops and people that can now afford the boxes without selling their organs? And that actually opens them up instead of hoarding them like some squirrel on crack?
@@starbound100 yeah, by now we can see the number of players webt 10x up after the reprints, lol.... It was sooo necessary to the game health... How many new players in your store? 40?
