Hi, great video. I have a question: For a person applying outside of the US, when EB2-NIW is approved, an immigrant visa is needed to enter the US. I have heard that when a person applies for an immigrant visa at the US Embassy, It is often asked to provide an offer of employment in the US. (even though NIW waive off the employment requirement). Could you share your experience regarding this?

What about Microsoft Power BI certification? I will finish my PhD in May 2024 but I got a post doc contract already to work on a government funded project. So I will be starting the post doc 7 months before I finish my PhD. I guess this can be a way to demonstrate my exceptional ability? I also got grants for my master's thesis and PhD research. As for publication, my papers are not published yet and I think they will not be by the time I finish my PhD in the next 7 months. I am even thinking of applying for EB2-NIW in January 2024 (we are in October 2023 now...my post doc will start in November 2023). I will finish my PhD in May 2024. Do you think I stand a chance if I apply in January? My publications will be under review then at different journals. I am doing PhD in marketing and use quantitative methods to study innovations from consumer perspective.

Hi Daniel, I am getting ready to apply for the EB2-NIW and I'm considering including my Google Scholar page. However, I have some concerns regarding one of the publications on it, which has received the highest number of citations. The publication was initially published in 2016 without my consent, but my name was added later after I confronted my co-authors about my contributions to the article. Unfortunately, I have noticed that some journals have either misspelled my name or intentionally omitted it. Although I have added the publication to my Google Scholar page, I am worried that the US officer reviewing my application may see it as a conflict. I wanted to bring this to your attention and seek your advice on whether or not to proceed with using the Google Scholar page. If it is typical for immigration officers to conduct a Google search, then I could add the publication to my filing, as they would still be able to see it regardless of whether or not I include it in my Google Scholar page. Please let me know your thoughts on this matter. Thank you

I have a BSc and MSc in Pure Math but I only have a paper publication to my name. I am a high school Math teacher and I have also taught in international schools in Africa, Asia, and now in Europe. I heard about this last August but I keep having reservations, Now I wish to look into it again. Do you think someone like me could apply?
It depends on your proposed endeavor in the US. Masters alone is enough if it would support your application. If your BSc is not related to your proposed endeavor then it is not needed.

@@niwgreencarddiy3883 looking forward to your insights. There is certainly a gap in the literature on this topic haha....well a gap in RU-vid vlogs. Also, it would be nice if you can go over filling out the i-140 form as it relates to NIW. I only saw one other vlogger present the form but that was done 9 years ago and it was from the perspective of the employer. Thank You for your great work. I looked at all your vlogs in one viewing!
Hi Daniel, very instructive your videos. I'm curious about something. I'm a CPA in my country and my career does not necessarily is the best to perform researchs like in the sciences fields to propose something related to international standards of the industry. Does it plays against me? On the other hand, I work as a consultant/independent auditor since almost 10 years ago. As an independent accountant I don't have salary slips like an employee. The payment is only related to the type of engagement the clients ask me to do. How can I prove the part related to salary? Thank you!
@@niwgreencarddiy3883 ok I understand it. Does the invoices billed to those clients counts? I meet 4 out of 6 criterias except for the salary. I'm bachelor of accountancy, member of local CPA bar, 20+ years of experience as an auditor and can get reccomendation letters.
