does it support the sound of the warning chimes (GM Sounds) ? (warning chimes) I mean the sound that appears if you put the key to start the engine, or one of the doors is opened or the speed limit exceeds 120, or the sound of turn signals, and other system sounds. Does it support the sound of the reverse sensors?
I am really close to pulling the trigger on one of these for my 13 Sierra. I like the look and finish of it, and the fact that it comes with the Canbus harness (which is almost 50% the cost of this head unit if you buy an aftermarket one). The main reason I want this though, is to use it with Android Auto, but I'd have to buy the dongle for that. Have you tried the dongle for AA or Carplay?
Hey, I’ve got a question. I have a 2010 Chevy Tahoe with a rear facing camera already and a DVD function. I can watch DVDs either from my radio or there’s a flip down screen Back does it work with that?
Nice upgrade from factory radio, but did you know you can retain the factory usb plug-in (if you have one) without any adapter... Yup, right under the centre console tray, just unplug the factory usb cable under the centre cupholder area and plug in the usb cable from the radio.
I got this stereo but it doesn't work the radio display 0:00 and freeze when you change station there is no sound and you can't access the sound in the settings also it don't recognize the update that they want you to install
I just got a very powerful Bluetooth sub woofer put it in the back third row section and I just use my phone. Not the same as seen here, but gives me the same capabilities with no work involved
Hey The Car Dad, Thanks for your review. I recently saw another review for the same Eonon radio for a pickup truck and they talked about the high gloss on the screen. Meaning it reflected everything in front of it like sunlight through the sunroof to the passengers in the vehicle. Have you or are you experiencing anything like that and if so Is It something that proves to be annoying...? Also, although pretty antiquated now is there a way to play cd’s on this unit...? I currently have an older Eonon GA5180 unit which has a CD player and occasionally I would pop in a CD that would have a specific mixtape that can’t be streamed. I looking to upgrade because I’m currently running Android 4.4.4 version and the new touch screen on the GA9480A looks great. Just wanted some feedback when you get a chance, thanks again.
Hey I just put in my order today and I have couple questions to ask. Did it come with all the wire just plug and play or is there wire you needed to get ? I have a 2010 Chevy suburban ls 1500 no DVD just the base model . Also why didn't you make a video when you install it in your car . I think we all would love to see you unbox it and install it .
Thanks, I'm just waiting for it, I got my with an offer of $220 and I have the obd2 for offer of 30 and rear and dash cam for $60 . 30 each . I want to see a video of installing of it
At the end of the video you made a comment that it doesn't make sense for an IOS user to want this radio. Why? I am an Android user but my wife uses IPhone. I was interested in this for her suburban...
Does this head unit continue to play music as you change through apps? Like if I want to pull up my gauges I don’t want to have to stop my music just to do that
It does with with steering wheel controls, factory amp and sub. I believe the camera too. I dont have a camera on mine. But the instructions have details for all tahoe installations
Great video. Just bought the same head unit and i had a few questions. Im getting engine noise do yiu knownto correct that. Also, is your volume 1 extremely loud? Mine is and im not sure to correct that either. Last but not least, do you knownthe passcode to enter the factory settings? Ive tried a bunch and still cant access that setting. Thx
Thanks, I still havent figured out the engine noise. I think it might have something to do with the factory amplifier. My volume seems to work normally, no issues there. Where are you seeing the factory settings passcode? How many digits is it? I can probably give you some hints to figure it out based off of my knowledge of chinese electronics. I also have a link to update the firmware for the unit. I can share that with you if you like.
@@TheCarDad i would love to have that link please. That might be the issue as well. I did some research about the passcode. They say you can find it in the bluetooth settings when you want to pair a phone. My headunit said 5802 which i used and it was a no-go
