The fakes are really getting good if you need a whole authenticator to evaluate them. I miss the days when a a fake Puma was called a Puuma, or a Nike was a Mike and was easy to spot out.
Because it's not a legit check 😂🤣😂🤣😂 and it's not only her that's doing it it's all of them. Which makes it funny. You can also become a shoe checker. Just smell your shoe LOL
how did we end up in a world where the only difference between 15 dollar shoes and 500 dollar shoes is how the shoe inserts look, and the dates on the barcode?
More like $100 and $500 shoes but i agree with you. The real and the fake shoes are made across the street from each other half the time by the same manufacturer.
They just have a booth where they are authenticating sneakers, she’s not buying them. There’s no reason why she would be upset about it. The reason why they set up the booth is to promote Ebay, so of course she was told to be polite.
@@erinericssonweirdo, if you want designer or certain brands, why buy fakes???and dont say its to expensive cause no one is forcing u to buy them, you could always buy a different shoe but just why pay for fakes, not all jordans are that expensive....
@@notshdq Fakes? They're made the same. I could give a fuck and fuck Jordan, he doesn't need anymore money. The sweatshop workers need the money more than he does. You must make money on these shoes, that's why you're so defensive. But you call me the weirdo. Lol
@@notshdqbecause the color ways and designs are still dope. Most of the non-retro Jordans are butt ass ugly or they’re for ball-playing only I used to be a sneaker head and don’t own any reps (YET) but after seeing how good reps are getting, there is literally zero incentive for people who just want to look fly to buy “real” sneakers. People over 20 years old worrying about another man’s choice of footwear and watching their pockets is crazier than buying “fakes”
No lie, the resell culture has messed the game up. I don’t care about sneakers as much as I used to. If I like the sneaker, I buy it from a “REAL RETAILER”, I don’t F with middlemen
facts, that's the reason why so many opportunist be taking advantage and selling reps, resell culture made fakes spread everywhere, and you'll not even know where to buy the legit ones
This is why I'll never pay resell again. If you have to scratch, sniff, and tap the shoes against a table to tell if they're "real," might as well get the reps.
I Looooooove her thoroughness and politeness... She didn't sell the buyer the sneakers yet after examination and explanation breakdown she apologized for them being fake... ❤ Although there are a lot of negative comments at the end of the day we are watching you do your thing Baby Girl.... 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I can tell by the look on her face she was trying her best not to tell the lady to bounce with the fake shoes so she had to thoroughly go through the shoes to give valid points on why they fake. Good work 👍🏿
Lol ol' girl knowing them ain't even her kicks, they her man's & he knew they was iffy so he sent her talking bout "I'll stay with the baby go head n get these checked for me babe" 😭😭😭
She's doing right. My Mom used to work at a leather factory in the 1960s and she said the "smell" of leather has a unique odor. Whenever I bought a "leather bag", she'd smell it and would know a fake or authentic or even quality by the feel. When you know, you know. Period!! I remember the smell of her bags and the feel as a kid. When I grew up, I did the same thing and still do!!
@@rayromano6249man fakes made in the same factory have same smell gotta look for quality control some reps will push out what nike would consider defect
Shes not a professional. It's all staged. They dont let the general public record her, only pre-approved personalities like Private Selection can initially upload these clips.
Hopefully she makes more videos. She is the truth. If she takes long is no good. 😅😅. Shorty knows her shoes. Respect and trust the process. Keep up the wonderful work
@@Carltonwanks lmbo... Imma whole Auntie, happily married with children, she real life dont want people to be mad at her i think its sweet.... You tried it though
Foh. She ain’t doing shit. You telling me I can do the same shit and you’ll believe whatever I tell you after all those theatrics??? Smelling the soles like she been at this for yrs. I been wearing Jordans literally since they first dropped and can do a better job without all that goofy shit she doing.
I do too, however if they don't have the obvious smell I can't tell. I need her to teach me cause I have a feeling stockx den got over on me once or twice
If you have to do all that to tell if they are fake then that’s telling you something. What people don’t realize is what they call fake are usually defects from the manufacturer. Cause it’s no way a bootlegger is making a copy so precise that it come down to rubber smell and how it sounds when you slap the bottom.
I just sent a pair off and it just arrived in Vegas I swear I hope it ain’t her I wish I could just send the screenshot from legitchk and that be good…a buddy of mine bought pair out of store and eBay tried to say fake he sent same shoe back with receipt and the passed…ridiculous
im guessing your not a sneakerhead. I get it she’s probably not but never wear reps. Other sneakerheads will do the smell test and say “yep they’re fake”.
It's all just leather and string. I suffered the same hypebeast mindset with guitars. $2,000 vintage reissues with original parts and woods that didn't come close to my foreign made $600 Fender BEAST. It's about feeling
You can tell by the way she was taking the shoes apart from the start, she knew it was off. "This don't even my tender loving touch." Throwing down insoles and ish Lol
I think she knew they was fake front the jump. The tissue paper was off. The blue inserts were off. Now that I've watched these a couples times..... Where's the extra shoestring. I couldn't understand what she informed the buyer.
Nobody on the streets can tell regardless unless you tell them. At no point will I ever smell the bottom of my shoes nor will anybody else and I damn sure ain’t dismantling my shit lol. Folks do too much.
Jordan’s have a unique glue smell, that’s why she smells the shoes. This is awesome that EBay teamed up with sneakercon to authenticate sneakers. I’ve purchased a ton of Jordan’s off EBay and I always purchase doubles, so I can wear one and keep one in a box incase I scratch one. This way I’ll have the pair I love in the future because I like my shoes to look right off a showroom wall.
@@ig_s_bib545 the listings that have a authenticity guaranteed tag are the ones that get checked. Not every shoe gets checked like vans and converse just the expensive sneakers
@@themadcoachman she wouldnt be sniffing them if they were worn cuz they will smell like feet but they are new and they smell like the material that they are made of and if its fake then the material is different from the real ones and they smell different
@Rye Bread lol it is true my guy do a little research and u will find out for ur self or actually get a top tear replica in hand and a retail and compare
@@Pehpehoptep unless you fakes are super obvious then yea it'll be easy to point out. but if they're decent looking, no one is doing this type of authentication check when they're on your feet.
I remember when I was younger I bought a pair of kicks from one of "those" websites and when I got em you could IMMEDIATELY tell they were fake! if they were a good fake I woulda rocked em. my boy even wanted to buy them from me but I said nah bro I can't even do that to you, these shits fake as a MF! 😂
Love her videos. If it takes her long time to check, most prolly it's a fake. She just always wants to be sure even if she could already spot a fake within a few seconds.
This authenticator is good at her Job shes at a sneaker event to help people and have people thrown out that are selling fakes let her have her shine on top of that showing fake sneakers at a event in the US is illegal and if caught your getting fined arrested or worse
@@NE0C0R7EX but the point they’re making is they never mattered even if they were authentic. Let’s be real they cost like 10 to manufacture and are marked up x100 what they’re actually worth, especially with fabricated scarcity.
@@NE0C0R7EX Exactly, there isn't a point, you're just wasting money. We just put arbitrary values on items for their name recognition but often they don't justify it. At some point (and that cutoff point is cheaper than you'd think) the quality doesn't really improve to justify spending like x10 the amount on something. It's the Supreme brick example all over again.
@@RifleEyez Are rich people “wasting” their money when they choose authentic Rolexes over fakes? The whole point is that they can afford it. If you consider it a waste then it’s not meant for you.
It's great when people LOVE something to the point they become an amazing authenticator like she did. I can't imagine knowing every single little detail of how many brands styles years and and and
Fake copies of a product always have inconsistent stitching lines trust me been overseas twice. I learned that on Jersey’s, jeans, shirts, and now shoes. The algorithm is pretty easy to learn
Nah. A real legit check would have at least a detailed photo of a verified legit on. You check EVERYTHING. The stitching, the space between the swoosh and sole, the exact pattern of the sole etc. With these kind of Authenticators it’s gotta be a piece of cake getting a good fake through
