As of last week, they have lowered my status, and I’m not allowed to add more listings, till the June 20th review. Still cannot promote! Cannot revise listings. Can’t post. Limited and sanctioned. I have been a seller since 1998! Had over 1K listings. Just ended every item under $15. My chat with a friendly person from India helped not one bit. eBay is not what it was.

Not only are they doing that but they are also temporarily blocking sellers from listing. If you list something too fast you get temporarily banned for 5 minutes and then 15 if you do it again. It's either intentional or on an account per basis. I absolutely hate eBay now.

I just watched a video by a girl who said eBay just did the same thing to her. She talked to only two people and they never gave her a reason why. It was her main eBay account. She finally went to the top. The lady she spoke to said she was removed because she didn't verify who she was ( she didn't answer her phone ). I thought that was interesting when you spoke of the same thing. She was reinstated. Scary if you are depending on the money.

Well, as a buyer I just closed my EBay account! I have been scammed twice in the last two years, never receiving the item nor a refund, since the seller provided a bogus TR# EBay closed my case! I filed appeal, provided the UPS document showing it was delivered to a public library from a Book company 🤷🏼‍♀️ I purchased a cooler! At this point I am starting to believe there are shady employees within the walls of EBay.

What we need folks is a reseller union!!! I have been thinking about this a lot lately. We need to organize ourselves into a group that can negotiate with each platform to make sure we’re getting a fair shake. Some of the things we can advocate for will help buyers as well, like not banning accounts with speaking directly with the account owner first. They need to reach out multiple ways, not just one email or one phone call. My phone automatically blocks spam calls or unknown callers….no way would I ever even know they called!! Think about the union!

I've received the same e-mails from Ebay. Apparently you need explicitly state that you are receiving a small compensation from someones else's purchases. Unfortunately it must be stated in a an exact way that Ebay demands.

EBAY can do what they want, the way they want, when they want. They dominate, period. They will change when their numbers go down consistently. As long as the economy is outta control, there will continue to be more resellers entering the the market place & eBay will continue to grow & dominate. In other words ain't nothin' changin' anytime soon so we gotta roll with the punches, for now. I can tell you I'm getting out of the Flea Market arena because paying a monthly rent to sell things for less than what they go for on Ebay is killing my profit. And my Flea shop is in an affluent area. My vintage & antiques sell but other things that don't sell unless they are dirt cheap. P.S. I've neen in sales for for a long time.

I think ebay forgets that they can be replaced. I mean they barely advertise to get new traffic. Even walmart and Amazon advertise all the time. So why not use us as advertising for the platform and I think they would be really surprised at how much profit they would make. Even small companies and car lots will pay anyone who brings a new customer to their doors that purchases something. And only marketing for ebay motors is not helpful with the fit guarantee.

About 2 months ago for $7.00 CND I got a crazy huge bag of Heroscape stuff and I decided to part it out and break it up and sell it in bundles. So far i've made over $400 CND from it and have about 2/3rds of it left. I sell board games for parts at times too and make good money off of them when the boardgame might not sell as much by itself.

We were kicked off for same reason and "banned forever." I sent an angry email about being a part-time seller, full-time mom/grandma/regular employee and not being given time to correct an issue I had no clue about. Then I figured out how to correct it on my own, because they are very unhelpful, emailed them again and they "unbanned" us. I think I have earned $2 lol.

I, too, was told by eBay that I have been permanently banned from buying or selling on eBay! I have been preparing to sell online for a while now; I have a label printer, labels, boxes, mailers, shipping material, etc. and lots to list, but have yet to sign up or list on eBay. Then I get the message from them out of the blue. I have bought a large amount of items from eBay, (almost 3,000.), and have 100% positive feedback. How does one contact eBay to find out their reasoning on this? How could I put the reselling community at risk, as they said? Thank you to anyone who can shed some light on what may be going on and how I can reverse their decision! Thank you for all the great reselling information; your videos are fun to watch! You have a good thing going with your beautiful family, reselling set-up and wonderful dogs and cat! Your kids are so cute and smart! Thank you for everything!

They will reach out to new sellers to do an identity verification (same questions as credit checks). If you don’t respond or miss it (could be a phone call), you’ll get that ban. It happened to me. I persisted and eventually got someone to let me do the questions over the phone.

Since you mention you haven't started selling, and have only bought. One possibility is that you may have "abused" the return process one too many times. There is a possibility that sellers reported you behind the scenes. There is a chance you've been pinged above the average amount, flagging your account. 100% positive doesn't mean much as a buyer only, since a seller cannot leave negative/neutral reviews. I am not saying this is why you're account got blocked, but it is a possibility.

If you've ever opened the eBay app on open Wifi or a shared wifi like the office, that can do it. If a bad actor who got banned for cause EVER used that wifi, using it will nuke your account too. This is true even if you've never met. You used the same wifi so you're banned. I've heard this early and often.

Ebay frowns on your family buying from you, especially if you live in the same state! Me and my dad both, got in trouble on ebay bc I had some old dimes and he just wanted to be fair and give everyone a fair shot at bidding, there was no shill bidding, but ebay said if I wanted to sale to him, I'd need to pull it off ebay and let him get it in person? I know lots of people do that type of thing, but my dad wouldn't have done anything shady like that, neither do I, but, unfortunately, he's no longer with us. RIP Pops.....

I quit selling as of Jan 10, 2023. Every time I think about going back, they go and do something even dumber. Add in the progressive neurological stuff and....g'bye eBay. It sounds like Kevin fell afoul of AI/Bots, and Bots are DUMB. We all know they have a lot of rules that site users aren't privy to and can't even see if they fall afoul of them. Not even if they find a way to ask. Most people usually find out about them the hard way.

What could they do better? Stop associating user accounts with each other whose only link is a Wifi system that both used at some point. The two may never have met, but if they went to the same school or used the same library..bingo. They have to make it easier for sellers to sign up, not harder. I've been hearing about this one for years, and they've never fixed it. Many a would-be seller is banned for bad behavior that wasn't theirs.

dude you seem like a great guy...but not having outlook to put ALL your email addresses in one place to make sure you check stuff...is...a bit silly. Set up rules ect and magically emails go into folders and you don't have to deal with all the junk. I get you probably get a ton of emails, but a virtual assistant 1-2 times a week for a few bucks can make sure you handle email notifications or whatever. I am just getting started really and ramping up...but you should have systems in place by now. Work smarter not harder. My opinion.

The ebay links can be set up to show "sold out" and not have to renew with a new link each time it sells out. The seller has to set it up. Also love your videos and always watch them but it's a bit odd/petty kind of bashing ebay issues on same video that you had an issue with them after supporting/promoting it for so long. Just a thought. Doesn't change my view on you or your channels lol. Still watch and enjoy them.

Ebay needs Meg Whitman back! When Meg was CEO it was very clear what Ebays policys was and what could get you in trouble. Meg and Ebay would go around the country asking sellers if they had issues and they tried their best to resolve those issues. Today, Ebay lets AI and automated to handle customer service and now folks are leaving Ebay for other platforms. Ebay must have live customer service either online or and on the phone to reslove these issues.
