Quick tip for everyone reselling at Ross, ask an employee what days they restock or get new shipments on. You'll be the first to get all the best stuff if you go in that day or day after. This isn't even from a seller (yet) just someone who likes shopping there. Mine usually restocks Tuesdays 👍 Totally will save you the hassle of going store to store.

Damien Gomez my Ross gets a truck every day mon-fri and roughly about 250-300 total pairs of shoes (men’s,women’s,kids) they have all the shoes out between 12:30-3:00

Ross gets new stuff everyday and they’re out on the sales floor that same morning. I work at Ross so I’m always putting new stuff on the sales floor everyday .

Damien Gomez I worked at Ross for more than 5 years. We get shipments everyday except sundays. BUT still definitely make friends with the employees because sometimes we get in trucks but don’t have employees to run out the items. And usually when customers ask “do you have it in the back?” We say no because the items haven’t been processed for floor or we don’t have time to drop what we’re doing to go on a wild goose chase in the HUGE stockroom. But this one dude who resold our shoes would ask me if we got anything new in and I’d be more than happy to go check for him cause he was always pleasant (very welcome in retail). And once he found a pair of Nikes that had no price and I told him find another pair of Nikes and I’ll give him that price. He found some kid’s pair for like $10. I honored that price. ALWAYS BE NICE TO PEOPLE IN RETAIL. It goes a long way in getting what you want.

Nicely done! Love the hustle. 20 stores in a day is a pretty large goal, but at least you gave it a go, because you wouldn't know if you hadn't tried. Also appreciate the step-by-step of how you research and determine your buy/no buy parameters. Thanks for sharing.

I work in the stock room at Ross and I tag the shoes that you see. Trust, Anything worth buying or selling doesn’t make it to the floor. Employees scoop it at 20% off Ross price or 40% off every 4 months. Oh and when something goes on clearance whoever’s doing markdowns scoops it at 20% off the clearance price as soon as they mark it. My advice to you is get a job at Ross so that you get first dibs, discounts and don’t have to waste time and gas goin to other stores.
@chriss.8582
@chriss.8582 6 лет назад
Not true dude, I scoop up highly profitable items from Ross stores regularly, in almost every department. I also do it in this guy's backyard, so apparently you guys miss enough items in the back to keep both of us making money. Keep up the stellar work.
@tgo007
@tgo007 6 лет назад
Would be interesting to see what would be the true "salary" of someone who works at Ross and flips things on the side. If it's 20hr and you're not living in a high cost place, then it sounds pretty good assuming it's a pretty chill and easy job.
@Truen091
@Truen091 6 лет назад
Timothy Crouch I agree with you. But, the main point I’m trying to make is that the guy in the video is misleading people with HIS shoe flipping business model. First his profit margins are too slim to account for gas ,other vehicle wear and tear, shoe consistency, online seller costs and time. Bottom line: the only gain in his method is in the form of views and subscriptions on his RU-vid channel.
@Truen091
@Truen091 6 лет назад
tgo007 I work in Northern California at the highest volume store in the area out of about 20 stores that are on our truck routes. I process every shoe that touches the floor Mon-Sat(no truck on Sunday)at an average of 500 shoes a day. So I can tell you that without a doubt, even with first dibs, and 20-40% MORE profit margin than the guy in the video(due to my discount), I’m only making about $72 a week extra flipping shoes. That average was taken over the course of a year. So yeah flipping Ross shoes at its highest level is not self sustaining which is why I’m in school. Hope this helped.
@Truen091
@Truen091 6 лет назад
Timothy Crouch First, I never complained about anything. Second, how is getting 40% off of the very thing you’re trying to flip a downside? For example, why do you think the USA outsources jobs to China? Because they pay less for product hence an increase in profit margin. I can break it down further: you buy a shoe for $4 , sell it for $10 and make six dollars. I buy the same shoe for $1, sell it for $10 and make nine dollars. Logic....

@alejandroalbarran2269
@alejandroalbarran2269 6 лет назад
Glen Atchison that’s not a pro tip. It would be much better to start at stores near your house and go from there. If you start at the one farthest from you you will waist time driving there, but if you start with the one near you and slow drive to the farthest one as you shop you won’t waste any shopping time.

This is so useful! Thank you very much for the code explanation which will make it easier for me to get started back on ebay with shoes...I find them so cheap everywhere! I pick up brand new shoes with tags at thrift stores for $5 and I found clearance shoes at Walmart for $1...not much risk there so I bought every pair. I saw some go for $40 a pair for those ones but I dont expect to get that much.... Today I scored gently used shoes that were $90 new for $5 for myself. Ross is a great place to shop for my own shoes and now I see how the code works...great idea to check them out...

That's because no one doing this as a "side hustle" makes bank. This video is just hype for views cuz everyone wants to make easy money. After gas, effort, selling fees, shipping, promotion... People are making 5-10 bucks on something they invested 60 bucks in, it's just that no one wants to admit that. Real return is making at least double what you paid. Sure 5-10 bucks profit isn't horrible, but when you calculate everything you've done to get it, it's like being paid 7 bucks an hour if that.

Amazonbargains In places that have the box you can. At Burlington and Ross they use their own UPC codes so it won’t populate in eBay

FYI when searching eBay for your ‘market analysis’ if you put the design or model number in the search field it will only pull up items that also have those in the title/subject field as well. To pull up more matching items go to ‘filters’ and turn on ‘search in description’ then the items that have your model number in the details and/or extended description field will also show. Then I would sort them price low to high so you can see around what you would place your starting price

I cant believe how much there is to flip, I decided the other day to attempt a flea market stand that was stocked by buying pallets but seeing everyone flip clearance items is making me want to go straight Ebay and Amazon.
