As I am working towards crossing over 1k cards, I needed to watch this video!!! Helps me figure out how to break it down beyond the states/countries/etc. Thanks John!
I can't thank you enough for sharing this. Just received my cardboard bins and started using the alpha/numeric tabs. I was just getting to the point where topics were no longer working for me. This is a great alternative, and will scale for years to come for minimal investment!
This is a great and generous video. I learned this system from you in your early videos and follow it. It makes it easy to do inventory and also to manage adjusting prices. I have all of my work area in a circle so I can swivel in my office chair to list, pull orders, scan postcards and ship postcards. I also learned my postcard sorting system from you. I ordered the SMALL boxes that we can get free every quarter from eBay for having a store. I spent an entire day taping them together in groups of 25, a “wall” of 5 boxes wide x 5 boxes high. Then I sort by state or topic before I list to make listing faster. I got this idea from you with your shoe rack system.
It is so good to see you back!! I ask Chris TSH where you went and he told me. I watched you on secret beach and enjoy ur stuff. I'm gonna try and list a bunch and get to your level one day. Keep up the faith!!! TC
Thanks for the information. So far, I use the State system with a number after each state rather than dividing by cities. One question: Do you have a different filing system for your unlisted cards? Or do you organize them at all?
Great info, thanks for sharing! It's like the large version of what I do, with a few tweaks. I use the SKU # option in ebay, but when I did Hip, it didn't always transfer, so I can see why the # in your title would work better sometimes.
With 31k listed what are you doing about older over a year unsold ones, how long do you let them sit on ebay before you do end and relist using sell similar?
I have cards that have probably been listed for 10 years. I've been doing end and relist ever since they introduced good until canceled and I end/relist 3 to 4 times a year on all cards.
