First, we cut off the back half of the car and reinforced the frame with a roll cage. next we lifted the car 2" and put on rally wheels and UTV tires including a full spare. Next was the fun bit, Slapping on an eBay turbo kit and painting the car white. In the episode we finish the rally truck build by fixing the suspension, adding a harness bar and racing seats! I can finally fit in the BMWute comfortably at 6’1’’ ! One of our most fun projects to drive hands down! But Sendy is still my #1! Just the novelty of knowing you are sending it in a Barbie jeep alone makes it impossible not to smile the entire time driving it🤟

This is my biggest problem. I bought a sand rail and im just too big. I have to shorten the steering, move back the pedals and try and set the seat on the actual floor. Mmm comfort.

As I’m sure you’ll find out when jumping it, you want the 5-point harness bar level to 20 degrees below shoulder height so you don’t bounce so high in the seat. Love you guys!

Also if you plan on jumping it a lot I highly recommend limiting straps to keep your shocks alive.

20 degrees is the max per most professional sanctioning bodies. The lap belt is what pulls you down into the seat. You NEVER want the shoulder harness pulling you down because that compresses your spine. This is why the harness angle rule exists. I know these things because I do this for a living.

It just struck me that Ethan is Sid from toy story! Hahaha Sid was never evil. He had no way of knowing the toys were alive and he clearly felt bad when he learned the truth. He was just a creative and destructive kid having fun with his toys until they get destroyed and then putting them back together and mashing different toys together to make even cooler toys… he was an artist! BMW cars are referred to as a Bimmer. The BMW motorcycle is referred to as a Beamer. Just a little FYI.. I used to deliver to a BMW garage called Bimmers are us. I used to make the same mistake.

I believe those chassis's are known for the rear frame rails rot at the subframe mounts. There are kit to weld in but your capable of doing it yourself. Might be worth it with all the off road stuff. Awesome video as always bud.

I know this car for thrashing, but it also for the Gambler, which is really just a long drive, so don't forget to add the creature comforts. Cup holders, GPS, stereo, and maybe a quick detachable muffler.

Looks like fun. I had a 77 Celica back in the 80's that got rear ended and we made it into an offroad driver. Nothing to the level you guys have taken the Bimmer, but good dirty fun anyway!

screen shot looked like you guys had those airless tires on that thing... you guys should make some... like cut the side walls off a bunch of old tires and cut them so you got a bunch of long strips with treads... then bolt them together so you got a a really long strip... then fold them back and forth maybe every 10 inches then bolt the folds together and then on the part that would go on a rim like at the bead part just drill some holes in a steel rim and bolt that side into the rim... then see if it would work... id do it but im lazy... so you should do it for me so i can see if it works...

Looks like the lower control arm bent in that way because there was no space for spring when you bottomed out, needs less uptravel and a longer spring instead of that spacer

It looks wonderful, we have a lot of pickup conversions where I live! Is a recolor planned? I wouldn't say the white is boring but it makes dirt more apparent and isn't something I'd call fitting on a pickup. Up to you tho!

those BMW seats were only 6 G seats and the Corbeau's are 10 G seats if memory serves me correctly my buddy who races put them in his race car and loves them, he says they are so much better than stock and no longer has a sore back/neck , I just ordered some of those Vessi shoes looking forward to them 👍

I'm not sure if full hydraulic bump stops are worth the cost for this build, but some adjustable polyurethane foam bump stop cans would be on budget 👍 plus you can use the same mounts to upgrade to hydraulic cans if necessary 😉
