How long do you guess that gravety fed turbo is going to last with both of them are going upwards... my guess is 2k miles and that turbo is dead... clock the turbo so the hoses go downwards...
Just a heads up, the eBay "my garage" is crap. Maybe ok if you have a new car, but even then it recommends so much absolute garbage that does not fit on my first gen Tundra, MB 190d, '12 WRX and so on.... I really would not promote that feature with so much confidence. I def use ebay, but I always confirm the part numbers with the manufacturers first, saved me many headaches. Love the shows, keep up the amazing fab work!
You guys have to understand: a "sports car" suspension will be much more stiff, so it can respond well in the corners while going fast, without any body roll ect.. So using a suspension like that for off road will be terrible. It's an entirely different world for a reason though- If you were to use a spongy off road suspension on a fast flat track with lots of curves and turns, it's also going to perform terribly and not let you go near as fast as you could with a stiffer setup. So calling the suspension "bad" comes with a little context.
@@calholli You clearly have never ridden in a car with KW coil-overs on it... Ethan knows his $hit. If he says they are bad, THEY ARE. Crappy/cheap coil-overs only are good for lowering the car, and still suck at the track. Good ones are amazing. My 2012 WRX had KW suspension and you could barely feel the reflective dots in the road, and somehow still had a nice taught ride, handled amazingly. Also, GHPC are swapping what it has with something else, not running the current setup
I was going to say the exact same thing. I am wondering if maybe they haven't yet because their projects are often pretty expensive. This one as an example, a new(er) car and turbo kit, couldn't have been cheap. Then there was the offroad Tesla S.
I always like the approachableness of youtubers first shops. Something we could realistically see ourselves in. Alec Steele's first shop was absolutely adorable and just full of tools and projects. Same thing with the hacksmith. Once they upgrade to these giant warehouses they loose their charm and relatableness. Hope grind hard is able keep it cozy even though the 100% deserve an upgrade.
It took me a while to get used to Will on channel, but I actually find myself enjoying his videos a lot. He's got a great personality and was a wonderful addition to the channel. I'm sorry I ever doubted him.
Speaking of the brake booster line. Whenever you add boost, you need to put a one way check valve in that line so that the brake booster itself is never under under positive pressure.
Epic video. One thing... you're pouring your oil wrong. Turn the bottom around so you're pouring with the cap/spout at the top. It prevents the air lock and the glug glug that gets the oil all over the place. Give it a go.
I'd love a rally raised suspension for my 2005 Subaru Outback! I'm disabled and the added hight would make it easier to get in, and out of!..a turbo wouldn't hurt my feelings either!..lol..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇲🤠
@@Vorgto it's that or those 2" cheap [dangerous?] Spacer thing's, that live between the body and the strut! I've always had suspension lift's/ truck's, bronco's, blazer's. This is my first Subaru, ever. It's got the 4cyl automatic with the sport shifter thing! It came from Washington state originally. It had just over 200k for mileage. It was a 1 owner with all the receipts since new. So we took a gamble and got it. We put new struts all around and a few smaller things when we first got it. Then the Dr window switch kinda broke, but still worked, just wouldn't cancel. So then before I could order a switch, the motor burned up. From my [accidentally[ son not canceling the switch, my guess. So went to change the switch, and it doesn't fix it. So now I'm waiting to get paid again, because I only get paid once a month. So then I'll buy the window motor and hopefully 🤞it will fix it. I'm very tall, and very slim nowadays, and have a hard time getting in and out. I like the fuel economy, and the A.W.D. system. I have heard of adding a switch to lock the transfer case in 50/50. But I'm terrible with anything electronic, ANYTHING electrical, even this phone 📱!..lol is there anything I should watch out for with this car? Thank you in advance ☺️..from Wyoming USA 🇺🇸 🤠

The " STI" version tS I have and it is not turbo'd. They were designed to be tuned and boosted it was integral to the design from the start. A good sportscar that can be easily modified to personal preference. 350 whp and 300ftlbs is the max it will take with the stock bottom end and tranny.
There's a French RU-vid (GDB, the one that makes "t'as 5 minutes" vidéos) channel that gave away a 300whp turbo Subaru Impreza, but it was more of a track car than a rally, soo, i guess you are the first ones !
I can appreciate a fellow enthusiast with an obsession for suspension. Calling my STI's oem suspension harsh is an insult to harsh cars everywhere. If i ever meet the suspension engineer for the 15-17 STI he will be getting kicked in the nuts.
I know a French youtuber even crazier than you… he puts a huge turbo on an Audi over 20 years old, dismantling and reassembling with an impact wrench and 700hp comes out of it at the wheel…

Yes you should. I think drag racing generally is when one isn’t used since there shouldn’t be very much dirt and debris on roadway and they decrease power. Some guys only use a turbo guard though to keep larger debris out.
The vacuum line from blow of valve needs to go onto inlet manifold after the throttle flap so when you take your foot of the throttle the inlet becomes under vacuum and opens the blow off valve

Moving too mountain home Idaho in the Spring lived there from 12-15. Loved Northern Idaho . Would dig that brz and take care of it while also enjoy the turbos. I've never owned a turbo car I want a turbo ls in JK so badly

being from europe this kind of YT giveaways allways makes me laugh.... There is no chance in hell I could register that car on the roads in my country after those modifications... And it would be a pain to sell because a potential buyer would have to rebuild the car to get it registered.... So it is basicly like winning a huge bill! :D
