What Stand-in Springbok captain had to say on the strength of the 'B' team, the Aussie weakness, SA's debutants and the prank on Herschel Jantjies in Friday's episode of SA Rugby Mag Daily. #SARugbyMag #Springboks #RSAvAUS
Best rugby team in the 🗺 world that the biggest achievement you can have and we are the worlds best over and over again so proud of my country's Rugby, if only we can do the same in our everyday lives... You dont see hate been pushed tgey are family no matter the race! thats a Real team! Dont let politics brake us apart!
I think with time the black rugby playing population is going to contribute immensely to the bok cause. As a sharks supporter the backline is full of some amazing talent(which so happens to be black in the skin colour department). I couldn't be happier cos they're fantastic players and watch this space cos there's a huge untapped source of black rugby talent and I can assure all the AWB boere that this pool will serve the boks well in the future.
Kia ora ra ( thank you ) brother from an indigenous kiwi / Maori. from Aotearoa / NZ. I totally agree with your sentiments. South Africa across the race sector has a lot of great sporting talent - spirit. We kiwis are always grateful for the likes of Irene Van Dyk who is our adopted netball kiwi daughter because of her great contribution to the Silver Ferns. She is one of us too. I remember watching Errol Tobias play with the Springbok Team who toured NZ in 1981 when they played Bay Of Plenty in Rotorua. The Springboks pretty much fielded a B Team that day and were well behind BOP just after half time. Looking at certain defeat the Springbok coach put on some of his Class A players which included Tobias and within minutes they had clawed back the score line and ended up beating BOP. Tobias was like you have indicated an amazing talent / fantastic player and was a catalyst for securing the Springboks the victory that day. Cool, calm and collected looking dude too which is how the brotherhood roll naturally. All the best / kia kaha to the black rugby talent / Springboks going forward. Despite being a kiwi / All Blacks fan I am equally a fan of the Springboks because they are big powerful men and give it their all on the field. Ma te wa / catch you later.
Ngibona kakhulu(thank-you very much in Zulu) Rick for sharing and its great to hear it from your perspective. We Saffas don't like to stand back and neither do the Maori boys. There's huge respect cos you could get trampled into the dust if things didn't go well. We like and accept that challenge. I'm also sad to hear about players I loved to watch like Jerry Collins and Jonah Lomu. Lots of respect from South Africa !
Springboks are the team with the biggest height-difference between players...Herschel, Faf, Cheslyn on one side and guys like Eben on the other. They all show that this is a sport for all sizes. The girl's side should try to get Caster Semenya (smile). With her wow-body (serious) and her speed she would be the horror of the Red Roses and Black Ferns.
And when the SA girls start beating the big shots, they will start crying foul again necause of some lame excuse that she is not a woman and find something against to kick her out!!!
I really like Herschel, he reminds me of Habana before he buffed up too much and started playing for the cameras. Hope Herschel can keep the humility with the success.
I might be wrong but I think Elton Jantjies is the best place kicker the Boys have had since Naas Botha, now all he needs is Naas' skill at the drop goal. The Boys did play well but I think that England, Wales, France or Ireland would take them without too much trouble even at altitude.
Did England,France or Ireland beat the Allblacks on their home turf recently ? The answer is no. Did England beat the boks in the last test series ? The answer is no. I'm not sure what Tudor uses as a base to make such claims ? Sounds like a bit of a wind up ?
@@harold9232 ah yeah you have a fair point. Just being Irish, and after everything we've gone through at World Cups since 2003, I'm a bit pessimistic. Hopefully our Six Nations form was just a dip and not indicative of a much deeper problem. Will be a cracking game.
