Eberlestock Bandit- Review and Experience 

I like the “try to challenge yourself with something new” comment. So important, especially for retirees.

Great review. I always like when reviewers show how these packs work with an everyday load. Most of us are not constantly bushcrafting but use their stuff for travel, gym and office!

I love my bandit. My reg EDC bag was a little too big (25 litre). 15 Litres and the narrow size is perfect for my use. Eberlestock makes some of the most comfortable packs, as a bonus, they also look great...

I have one in black and I really like it.

Currently using the switchblade pack as my EDC. Love it but I’m not using it to its full potential. Can definitely use it for something else. Been wanting the bandit for sometime, after watching this, pulling the trigger now. Thanks for the thorough review man!!

I absolutely love the bandit, just wish it was a bit bigger. like a tinge above the jacknife, but obviously smaller than switchblade.. or maybe add a front panel loader to the switchblade, like on the bandit.. or a dump pocket. I've always wanted to design a tactical version of the NORTH FACE RECON. the older 2000 versions, with netting dump pocket.. the ones now are flimsy. Great vid and subscribed.

Took a deep breath on the price-hike due to shipping costs to the UK and purchased a Bandit in Military Green, along with the optional hip belt and a couple of small pouches for handy storage. Really nice little back with a very good carry due to its backplate and the thick padded bars on the back. I always look for adjustability in the back length as one size definitely does not fit all when it comes to packs. I like the velcro strap tidies and have applied some of my own devising to the shoulder straps (surprised there aren't any on those) and I like the internal organisation too. I'd prefer regular molle and some on the front panel in addition to the laser cut stuff on the beavertail. I do think the beavertail needs to be removable as it's a tad flimsy for attaching pouches to and inhibits attachment of side pouches. Still, overall the Bandit is a handy little pack and it's straight away become my EDC bag.

Hi, great review!!! Currently shopping for my travel and adventure around the world daypack!! Quick question. What did you think of the zippers. Kinda my hang up on a lot of these packs. A good zipper is crucial to a great pack. Both in ease of use and durability with longevity. I spend a lot of time in the saltwater environment and cheap bags with cheap zippers are difficult to use. Plus some zippers just move more freely than others. I believe it can be one of the most important part of the pack as it affects every time you use it.

What molle to hook and loop attachment do you use for the med kit?

Can you recommend a similar pack (clamshell opening) with a few more organization / admin areas? That would be my ideal pack.

Is the back panel of the bag that Velcro material? I’m talking about where the hydration pocket is. I would like to put a Velcro holster there if I get one

Do you think a 15inch laptop could fit in this pack? Looking for a new bag to store all my GoPro accessories and be able to edit on the go

I like the Eberlestock line! Can you a dual purpose recommend a bag for me? I live in NYC. My job involves me being on airplane twice a week I carry a laptop, small hand tools, supplies, and various other tech things. It goes with me during trouble calls/ construction. It would be nice if it could double as a 3 day hiking bag.

If the gov aint footing the bill, what are the selling points beyond that? I think there are many packs that are much better than just another tactical bandwagon. But yes they are nice.
