Just discovered your channel and I love the great detail the video goes through! The reason why I love Eberron, besides the kinda of fantasy-punk, is how it treats its dragons respectfully, they are natural leaders of the world, not beasts separated but pure ideological drive They are kinda the UN of Eberron, only when they decide something, they get shit done

I find the dragons such a cool aspect of Eberron's lore. The fact that they have a very good reason to be hidden across Khorvaire and are playing a chess game against the Lords of Dust that last millenia means they can both serve as helpful allies OR interesting villains...or both in the same campaign
Yes, the potential for intrigue is limitless. Imagine a disguised dragon trying to swing the party to perform an EVIL act that is in line with the prophecy, while an agent of dust tries to manipulate them to do the opposite, or simply do nothing

My thought is that teh dragons battle the elves in perpetuity because something in the Draconic Prophecy has led them to believe that time and peace to amass greater power and influence would lead to cataclysmic events but cannot destroy them as they had done the destruction of Xen'drik for they forsee a need of them for a furthering of the Prophecy down the line.
This video couldn't have come at a better time for me, my group and are about to start a campaign in Eberron and I have plans to play a drakewarden but was struggling on a possible story arc or motivation that I might be able to pitch to the dm.
That sounds great! There are humans that guard the shores of argonessen for the dragons, could be a great fit for a drakewarden. They'll be covered in part 3 of the dragons series, but the video is a way off still. You can find more information about them in the "Dragons of Eberron" book.
Small update on the Drakewarden we talked about. I've written it so that he was born into a Dragonmarked Foundling run order that operates outside of the public eye from the Starpeak mountains in Aundair. Their objective is to preserve dragon kind and gather knowledge on the Draconic prophecy. However during the last war most of the members were conscripted and Killians current goal is to look for any surviving members.
