Eberron Lore - Warforged (Dungeons & Dragons) 

I want to make a warforged bard hat is basically a jukebox/iPod

bit of a story, i am currently playing a wild magic sorcerer warforged. basically he was built to be a wizard but there was a malfunction, causing his mana core to become unstable, thus causing the wild magic. i also added a couple other glitches like occasionally slurring words or being too literal

I have a Warforged character in the backlog. It's the tenth machine in It's production line, and therefore goes by "X Machina". "Your futile attempts to harm the invincible X Machina are futile, as the X Machina is invincible!"

It should be noted that technically, "warforged" refers to a whole line of living constructs - magical constructs which closely mimic organic creatures, with "bones" of stone and metal and "muscles" of wood under plating. The line ranges from animalistic warforged chargers (gorillas), scorpions, and raptors (birds of prey, not theropods) to humongous and barely more intelligent than regular golems warfored titans and goliaths, to "regular" human-sized warforged and their Small warforged scout kin, as intelligent as humanoids (I'm kinda bummer with WGtE making Scout warforged Medium, but that's a minor thing). It would not be strange if there would be even more warforged types scattered around Khorvaire - I think that Keith Baker once suggested the possibilty of aquatic warforged defending the waterways of former Cyre.

I never played Eberron, but sounds amazing! A warforged could be a incredible oportunity to role play a characters figuring out what he is or what is his purpouse. awesome! love you lore videos. big fan of Eberron & Dark Sun styles of adventure.

I was playing a Warforged named Wall in my group. He felt strongly for his brothers and the fact that no more would be made of his kind so he set out to make more even with the ban in place. After a long while of searching(and the use of thousands of gold) he found out how to make the Warforged again so as he would do he made as many as he could in the shortest amount of time and of course they needed to be trained so Wall hired some retired soldiers and of course one of them ratted me out and told a king that I was making them. Wall was forced to take action so he defended the factory. After a long and bloody battle the Warforged won. Wall knew that they would be back so he took the fight to them. After some months of recovery Wall went to the kingdom with the army of Warforged and laid Siege to it. After about a week the Warforged won the battle (and found the king to have hung himself to escape punishment from trying to stop us) but at a great cost, Hundreds if not thousands of Warforged died. The others found out about Wall's making of Warforged and the taking of the kingdom. After many more years of war and deaths the Warforged came out on top forcing all the Lords of the Five nations of Eberron to sign a treaty saying that "Warforged have just as much of a right to have a continued existence as any other race." allowing Warforged to be made without the ban once more.

I'd love to see one about Changelings! My personal favorite race!

I’m in an online Eberron group that has been playing weekly for more than a year and a half. We are level 15 and have a badass airship. It is so much fun and I love the group. No warforged though. We do have a changeling in the group.

I always thought that the Ebberon races were influenced by Star Trek. Changelings modeled after Odo, the Warforged after Data.

I had the idea of a Warforged who didnt know the last war ended and was in left in a forest to defend it by the corpse of his creator until an Npc he almost killed told him that it ended. That's as far as I can think with his backstory Im not sure If I want the rest to be his looking for his friends or he's just a traveler trying to find purpose.

I like the cusomisationm options...Want a warforged drider with a scorpion tail? you can do that... want a lion centaur warforged with a scorpion tail? you can do that too... they dont need to breath, so having some that are adapted to be better swimmers would be nice..

I actually created a warforged artificer with a rifle---He was created by a sage(he is an envoy created that way to be more versatile)---His master created him to go and sneak in to either enemy territory or old ruins to sneak in steal info and run back out-For that he was trained as an artifacer with a mix between int and dex--So he could be quick steahlthy and also recognize-grab and record knowledge and bring back it to his master's library. I was planing to use him in a homebrew game-Given it is rare to have biger spells such as teleportation it would be more like he would have snucked in to a gith ship and traveled with them to Fearun to gather even more lore for his master, after his arrival he would be stuck there and his goal would be to find a way back to his "home" --Given there are some gith in eberron

I really like the warforged. lol, my DM once wanted me to roll a "monster of the week" kinda thing. So I used the Warforged. lol, I turned them into basically the dinobots. lol, and rolled them up as a PC. lol, a history of why their on Toril and a history of their time here. My DM was pleased. very pleased. We as players after running into them were not so happy. lol, they hurt a lot. but when you have a T-Rex that's a reaping mauler fire breathing …. etc etc etc. I still have the write ups somewhere. lol, gotta love 3.5 for the crazy crap you can do. lol

My first warforged is my favorite dnd character. I based her off of Hatsune Miku. Basically she's a vocaloid. (Bard) who sings from a strange language she heard another bard sing. She was built on commission to be the personal singing servant to a rich lord. She was modeled after his dead wife. She suffered lots of abuse and ended up escaping to far away places hoping to sing and make her own new songs. I planning on making more. I just love robots and want to make even more.

Making a Necromancer Warforged align with neutral evil. The idea being, "The living would take apart and put together my brotheren whenever they pleased, for war and destruction. It only seems fit if I can do the same."

If i was a warforged i would try to figure out how to make more warforged so our race doesn't go extinct

I have watched a couple of videos on Warforged but this video definitely gives a clearer description of who they are were they come from.

I think it would be interesting to find a warforged who wanted to figure out a way to create other warforged , but secretly.

I have a homebrew warforged druid. 3374 awoke in an arcane forgery it was cold and dark, only the ambient light of the glowstones made sight possible, that is except in one of the assembly chambers where a crack in the mountain allowed a single beam of sunlight into the gloomy space. in this beam, from a crack in the floor, a single dandelion grew. 3374 was enamored by this and would sit for hours staring at his one companion in this bleak existence. Eventually the dandelion changed from a small flower to a burst of white tufts, this worried 3374 as something might be wrong with his companion. Alas one day when 3374 awoke the dandelion was gone, in a panic the warforged looked for its friend but found only the little tufts scattered about the room. It became enraged and began destroying much of the arcane lab piling up the junk, eventually making it to the crack gazing through it the sun blinded with its radience, but as vision cleared a sea of green life could be seen. The warforged began digging frantically eventually making a hole large enough to slip out of. For months it wandered the forest until its body began to break down, this was when something odd happened. A fairy appeared as the warforged lay on the ground motionless and offered a deal, it recognized the love of nature in its heart and offered to replace its body if it would vow to preserve the beauty and sanctity of life. The warforged agreed and the fairies magic crafted a new body of ironwood, oak and yew, the mana core appearing as a glowing green heart in a tangled mass of bark. After a time the spirits of the forest came with a dire warning that a great evil was setting out to upend the balance and champions must rise to defeat it. Eventually the companions it met in its journey gave 3347 the nickname ThreeTree.

When I first read that Warforged can be made of wood and stone made me so excited to play a Warforged Druid one day. Still haven't done it (Maybe cause I'm a forever DM) but one day, one day

One neat warforged concept is a the created become the creator and make a warforged artificer

I love coming up with clever spell uses for my Warforged Eldritch Knight. Like having Feather Fall being like how Iron Man hovers with those jets on his hands and feet. Or Scorching Ray like Fulgores chest beam in Killer Instinct. Or Find Familiar where he just launches a mechanical owl from his arm gauntlet and stores it there when not in use.

My favorite character I've ever created was for my waterdeep dragon heist campaign, and I play a warforged cleric of the forge who worships the forge he was forged in...😅

I created a Warforged named IA-3709 or Warden. He is an ancient Warforged from a forgotten war. He was forged from Adamantite and weighs about 200 pounds. He was a Warforged Commander. The IA in his ID means Iron Axis, an ancient faction that has long since disbanded. I think I ought to flesh him out a bit more.

When I can find enough people I want to do/play in a campaign set in Eberron. With my character being a Warforged Arcane Trickster Rouge who served during the war as a spy/thief/scout/assassin for the ruler of Cyre aka the rightful queen of the original kingdom and was tasked with doing whatever it took to protect Cyre and it's inhabitants from both external threats, and internal threats within the nation, and sadly got a close view to Cyre's destruction.

Would it be a bad idea to use an artificer as a warforged characters controller and soul? The brilliant human artificer of one world could create magicaly and construct scientifically ,a being . One built for war in which he can send to otherworldly places and control via his other peice of his creation,advance virtual reality type of control. This could make great conflicts for this war forged characters thoughts (call him proxy) as he has his own individual emotions but is completely out of control of his own actions and literal movement unless it is granted to him. I’m liking this idea the more I think about it

I am currently playing a lifedomain cleric warfarged it's like A-war forged that is a pacifist because it used to be a combat medic during the last war.

Time for a warforged bloodhunter that isn't effected by his own blood curses! That way he doesn't take damage when he uses crimson right or blood maledict!

Thank you for creating these Eberron videos. I hale from the old Dragon Lance and Forgotten Realms series/novels, but know nothing about Ebberon. I think I might have seen some of the novels way back in the day, but do they still have them? like, make them? Or are they dead like Dragon Lance? I wish they would bring back DL--so many great, extremely lovable characters. I'll have to Google it. Finally, you probably have already answered this, and no stranger to unique, hard to pronounce, everyone getting it wrong names, what's up with the /ph/? Just curious, it's unique.

Are there any good novels in this Eberron world? Like the Drizzt series or the Dragonlance series?

Thank you for this but still can't wrap my head around a Warforged being a druid because they are a) Not of Nature and b) made of metal. If a Druid can't wear metal armor, it doesn't make any sense that it could have a body made of metal.

Friend of mine made a Warforged who's entire backstory is explained through experiment logs he also founded the 40k Omnissiah religion and then tried to murder our party because someone pulled a punch card out of his back which surpresses his religious extremicism

I'm currently trying to make a warforged who if you know bastion from overstay he is like left to die in a forest but later woke up and knows barely any words besides no, yes, mad, and sorry. Off you want any other context i will be happy to because he is new and I'm still creating s story for him

I want to allow them in my games, but their racial traits are just too overpowered as they are written, I mean they don't need to eat, drink, or sleep, and they eventually get the AC of +3 plate armor, and the ability to take a shield and cloak of protection?!

Ever since the wayfinders of ebberon came out I've been so intrigued by the warforged! Can't wait for the video on the dragonmarked houses
