tearing up the mean streets hahaha you guys are awesome but totally nuts on footpaths tho... even though i love the idea of shredding the city to death you gotta tone it down a little on granny paths, think of the babies in pushchairs, it would be horrendous man, stick to the roads and race cars not pedestrians lol
Yep sounds about right. I'm on a 48v 11.6ah / 1000w rear hub and get 14-16 miles on thrash and around 25 with pedal assist. Cheers mate and keep the vids coming.
confused the one who flew past half way tru video was that 45mph or the u filming doing 45mph i got a device goes 45mph but what i dont want is to be slowed down like that i need to keep up
Upgraded controller and battery to 72 volts should see you reach around 50mph. Just make sure to keep an eye on your motor temp; most 1500w kits are good for brief periods of 3-4kW peak.
People with e-bikes is this normal I have a 52 volt 20ah with a 1500-2000 w mtx 39 rear hub motor and did 16 miles 26kph on a full charge flat out throttle only is that a normal range?
Pushing any battery hard you'll be lucky to get 24 miles out of 24ah. By riding slow the entire time you can surely get more than that number. On 48v 52v 72v.
Getting a decent amount of speed out of them. Hopefully you have toned it down now and stay off of the paths, people tend to not expect a bike bombing down them at 20+mph. I'm gonna be picking up a 3kw hub motor for mine shortly. it's only running a 1000w hub but the controller is 45A & shunt modded giving over 90A at the moment. Only able to get 35-40mph flat out but hopeful for more with a better hub motor.
Alan Price No doubt about it mate , someone on an e bike at speed will ride carelessly and kill someone , and the public will go against all e bikers , and also quicker than you can say "1000 watt motor" , Then the powers that be will on a mission to pull up and check every e bike rider and fine the non conformist.. And the way it works is this , it will only take one wanker in any country to fuck(pardon my french ) things up , and through public outcry it will then filter down to other countries . Watching some of these riders is just frightening . You often hear bikers sooking that car drivers and the public hate them , but watching some bikers antics out on the roads and footpaths it is not surprising . I am also a bike rider and a car driver and a truck driver , and while there are dipsticks in all forms of transport , i think currently bikers are leading the pack with a higher percentage of ratbags sadly. I`d put money on it , not too far down the track e bikes will be regulated to be registered and may even have to have plates ..
@@mikldude9376 you have no way of determining the number of idiots on bikes compared to cars. it's a stupid debate. they wont ban e bikes because they are the future. better safety and regulation like with other modes of transport.
Hi Im just about to order the 60V 1500W kit from Anthony @ the Small Green Room. Can I ask if you've had any issues with your bike & how many miles have you covered?
Hello . The onley issue I've had with my bike is one side of rear wheel works loose . So another torque arm required so there's 2 on it . And punctures in rear tyre . Use some slime for inner tubes . Apart from that it's great . Anthony is sound bloke . 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for the quick reply! I'll ask for another torque arm to go with the kit, I see them on Amazon cheap enough anyway. Motor & controller quality was my concern, good to know yours are still going strong.
I'm on 800 miles and on new set of brake pads . I did 600 miles on original brake pads . Still on original tyres but bak tyre is ready for a new one 👍🏻
Have you had any problems with the spokes? I have a 1000w hub motor that has broken the 14 ga. spokes. Exactly which kit did you buy through e-bay? Thanks.
I bought my bike as it is . I've had to tighten spokes up about 3 times . There ony ment for a certain weight I reckon . To heavy the start cracking n popping 👍🏻
I need help boss i got mine 52v-30,6ah mxus and some bullshit controller that ment to run it at 3-5kw, the top speed i rich so far was 29mph. I dont know why and how to solve this problem
1500 watt. It means that your controller is pulling at least 28 amps to the motor in full throttle with 52volts. Seems correct that you could hit 20 miles. But your battery would be empty within an hour ?
@JD Rides i sell ebike battery packs and motor kits www.buildyourebike.com world wide shipping included. They can last tens of thousands of kms. gas is bad quality super loud very illegal in many places.. its like screaming hey im breaking the law
Ive just put a 1000w kit on a second hand voodoo hoodoo so far its going good. Just wondering if you still have your bikes and how they are now performing. Also loved that speed run your mate did down that straight by merryhell what speeds did he hit going down there as he left you behind.
We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ru-vid.comUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!
Thats what i have. 1500 on 52...35mph...i replaced the motor wires from where it comes out of the axle to the controller...wires looked kinda small and each wire was eating over a volt..bought a set of slicks @ 65 psi...runs 37 now....Wonder wherevhe is getting the extra speed from, 1500 watts and 48 volts is 490 rpm for the rear wheel...to go faster you need a motor wound for more rpm or more volts....or a really big front sprocket.
I can get 37 mph out of my 1000 watt 48v hub motor only downhill. 30mph on a normal road. When you buy it It's listed as 30mph top speed. The 1500-watt motor is listed as 40mph top speed. So downhill it should be 47mph standard.
yes, but you will have trouble breaking easily and it's illegal. Also, the bike will be sooo heavy, not to mention the batteries you will need. If I were you, I would increase the battery sizes to a huge one to get good capacity like these guys instead. But Wael, I wouldn't recommend two wheels.
yall are uneducated... i sell ebikes for living... you need 40 amp continuous output for 40 amp controller.... 15amp battery who knows the rating.... you never said... is it 25 amp? not enough... 30 amp .. still not enough... need 40 amp continuous ability for when voltage drops way down and you need full power up hill
Its ok if you dont mind slow...need a battery rated 30 amp continuous and a controller with same rating. my 52/1500 watts deal will run 35/mph...i pull a trailer with mine...15 gal of gas and 15 gal water..
I see 300 watt hour batteries advertised with 45 mile range, and I'm thinking - not at the speeds I ride! I tend to use 800 watt hours for 25-45 miles. 45 miles at 24 mph and 25 at over 35 mph.
Initial response: Got this bike for my friend. ru-vid.comUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ Delivery was fast. And the friend was surprised I would order it when she had never suggested she wanted anything but the pedal bike she had. She has now ridden the bike two times and gives it a 10 and says it is very fun. We have some hills in our town that are very challenging to climb on a typical bike. But tonight she went up with the pedal assist and loved it. I was way behind on my standard bike, huffing and puffing. Now she is no longer lagging behind me. This thing is powerful enough that a person could go around town without any pedaling. She likes to get some exercise so on flat ground she hits the red button to turn off pedal assist and only uses the twist throttle when she's in a tough spot. The bike looks good. It is really a very nice bike for the friend. Now for me, when I get an electric bike, I'm twice her size and will be looking for a bigger watt motor and battery. But this one is just wonderful for my friend. I am happy with this purchase.
That was down from somewhere between 52.7 and 53.4 volts down to 46.4 volts idling. After a bit of cool down the voltage went back up to 47.2. This was after 13 to 16 miles on a 53v10ah pack.
think about how many noisy motorbikes with their headlamps on full beam get knocked of them with drivers pulling out in front of them - drivers and pedestrians have no chance seeing one of these things appearing from nowhere in a split second
except it can go anywhere including off road. These bikes will beat a car any day for short city journeys especially at rush hour. Be home having tea while the fucking cars at the lights
is this Manchester Area or Stoke-on-Trent Area...? Time Index 07:13 tells where they are..look at the roadside information sign....looked it up on google maps, they are in the Birmngham Area I am a cyclist myself, I own a Hybrid eBike and it's great...I do however have an ordinary bicycle which I'm going to convert....deck it out like my other bike....and way I go, this way if a friend wants to come out with me riding....they can.
Not on my bike no but I did have to put another talk arm on the other side as the one but kept coming loose . I’ll do a vid on my bike n put it on here so you can have a good look . 👍🏻
Your road system is jacked! First you drive on the wrong side of the road, the lane markings are confusing like the squiggle lines which serves no purpose then you have a double solid yellow lines on the shoulder? Makes no sense 🤔
@@sanesaint8725 ik I’m late but controllers go by amps and volts not watts so he is prob using a 35 amp controller if you buy the kit your then using watts due to the kit basing it’s controller and needed power off of the watts of a motor. If you look up sine wave controllers they won’t give watts but you’ll find them in amps
I was wondering why the quality was so good! Was hoping you'd send a link to a cheap eBay camera which was good. No way i can afford a GoPro! Thanks for letting me know though ;D
@@travishitchmough1137 I got 48v 1000w it doesn't blow up your house if you follow instructions im not a idiot rider. An its fun azf also just upgraded my battery to a American made one
I had all intensions of riding discreetly but as it was the first time the bike was on the road I just wanted to see how it would perform. I was just very unlucky as the cops who pulled me up where in a unmarked car. The cops here in Australia are very sneaky. Rather than turn the motor down I think I will just sell it. Thanks for your advice all the same
