I got one for Christmas and was able to get out on it this past week. For older people who may have knee problems, this bike is great! I still have to have the seat higher(due to my knee), but my old bike I couldn’t ride anymore because I couldn’t get my knee up and over. This bike allows me to get my bad knee up and over without any pain due to the position of the pedals. This is my first ebike and it’s a game changer, as it will now allow me to ride much farther than I could before and yet still get a work out since it’s pedal assist only and I can turn the pedal assist off when I don’t need it.

My wife has that Chilli red townie we just finished 27 miles, with comfort at 15 to 25 mph and only used to bars of battery. No wonder this bike is number 1 in the cruiser style.

from what I have been told if the battery dies on a mid drive you are pretty much walking the bike home is this true ?

I have one that I bought in Atlanta 5 years ago! They told me I could go back and electrify it later, but the shop now says they don’t do it! I live in Tallahassee now; do you know of a shop anywhere near me that does this?

Unfortunately I don’t. We kinda frown upon conversions. Most times the bike being converted isn’t built for that type of toro, speed, etc. Trade it in via Bicycle Blue Book or sell it and move up.
