Omg!!!!! This was my cut!!!!!!. I was D'jaying back in the early 80's. I played this song and nobody knew who they were. I been loving this song every since. It's a classic.
you all prolly dont give a damn but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb forgot my account password. I would appreciate any assistance you can give me!
Ohhh...this was back in the day of light skin- dark skin and high voices!!! There was a battle going on with this type of music which was spun off of PRINCE!!! MY ALLLL TIME FAVORITE ARTIST!!!! This was a DO ME BABY...by PRINCE challenge but of course PRINCE won that battle. THIS WAS AND STILL 12/05/2020 MY JAAAM!!!! IT LITERALLY TOOK ME YEARS to track this cut down thank to a poster on RU-vid. I'm SORRY I cant think of his name now but I will fave this because HE ended my literally YEARS search for this song. BIG PROPS TO HIM!!!! He posted other songs by the group and he uploaded this song for me...forever in debt to him for doing so 😎
+anthony williams It's interesting because both groups debut albums in 1981 but Allen Jones history works against Ebonee Webb. Still they were bad ass.
Y’all are all wrong. This group completely stole Prince and The Time’s swagger and music. Ebonee Webb had the same producer as The Bar Kays, the late Allen A Jones. The Bar Kays were notorious for biting previously popular R&B tunes. This song bites too much off of “Do Me Baby” from Prince’s Controversy album from 81”. Ebonee Webb’s song came out in 83”. Do the math!
What time is it by the time came out in 82 this album came out in 83 the time it's from Minneapolis Minnesota this group is from Memphis Tennessee I know that probably has nothing to do with anything but it was the eighties a lot of those Bands looked and sounded and dressed alike.
