With these water paintings, I am always thinking, aww, they've just taken those beautiful pieces and messed them up and then two seconds later I am left astounded at just how much more beautiful it keeps getting. Bravo!
Could somebody tell me what materials use for this technique? And can you tell me if it's expensive and where can I buy or acquire? I will be very grateful. Thanks!
that are some speacial materials.u can buy here: www.ayanebru.com/ making ebru isnot easy as look as.which country r u live.my suggestion is find a turkish assosiacion and taking lessons.preparing the water is very important .
I'm just in the process of finding what you need and the basics are artists oil paints and turpentine. I note Tahire says preparing the water is very important so I need to research that, and the ratio of oil paint to turpentine. I would probably try using the medium length thin with pointed tip bamboo sticks - easy to find, unless I discover something else at watching more demos.
Marsha Andrews do you know where to find a suitable tray to hold the water? Also I would be interested to know where to purchase the paint and how to mix it.. I would love to try this on silk for silk scarves
+Jonah Gershon this type of art is originally turkish. and its from turkey. so if you want to learn this or maintain the tools which is used you can go to turkey. or as another easier option, you can find a turkish foundation or association in your country. they can help you with that.
