Echilles Wood Railway mainline steam and diesal weekend,we attended with our B1 "Roedeer" on a damp saturday. We had a great time just a shame we had to leave early due to receiving some bad news, but we did manage to get four laps of the track in.What a great collection of loco's attending, sorry to many to list.Next year we will come for the weekend. The railway is in Kingsbury water park just of the M42 jct 9 and is a lovely place to visit, why not make a visit and ride the trains.

Cheers Brian, thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed it.I'm afraid I won't be at the July/August Gala but we were hoping to come to the narrow gauge weekend with our Hunslet in September.Regards Chris.

Many clubs and miniature railways have changed over to 5"/71/4"ground level in the uk,I think the reason was it's an ideal size and they can pull a much larger load of passengers. Most of the M.E Societies still retain a raised 21/2 ,31/2,and 5"track.The south of England seems to favour the smaller gauges.

Some interesting locos there. I'd love to see that Kreigslok running!

Did you like my B1 such a shame we had to leave early,we had just started to enjoy ourselves. This was the last time we visited the Mainline loco weekend with a loco, although we have been with the Hunslet on the N/G weekends..NEXT year lol!

Hi, Yes I have seen some of your video's,very good.To Clarify, some M.E societies in the south prefer raised tracks with only 31/2 & 5" on them and don't bother with 71/4,but the clubs from London North have all gauges of tracks.I hope that helps clear up the misunderstanding.Check out some the M.E Societies websites they will tell you what tracks they run.Chris.
