I don't understand why so many fans say they have lost their former touch on this album. It is bloody good and the songs are all classy too especially this one which happens to be a favorite of mine.
That is cool monsieur62 . Unfortunately I was born in 1977 and gotto know them much later but has been hooked to the band ever since I heard them in High school. But woe is me, I will never see them live being from such as remote place as India.
@@dannyhaobam9858 well I first saw them in the Tottenham court Rd YMCA 1981/2 and no other band except The Clash generated so much anticipation and excitement in the crowd it was always electric and those first 3 years they were dynamite live.
Agree. Some people think they should have stuck to their earlier darker sound while I prefer what they did since their 1987 album. What are you going to do, and the Fountain are also amazing.
The Siberia album has so many gorgeous songs. Someone told me this was Ian’s divorce album after the end of his 20 year marriage. That explains the common thread of sadness and breakup. This song and entire album are brilliant.
This album is sheer genius, glorious to experience, their best work and not that it matters but should've won the Grammy that year. I've been listening since grade 9 in 1983. Hello from Canada.

Bunnymen fanatic since 78 and despite the moaners this is among their very best work indeed as is the entire Siberia album. The greatest band of all time hands down no contest and I can't wait to see them again live soon for probably around the 30th time, the dates have obviously just been rescheduled but the wait will make it all the sweeter when it comes.

I love this song - It always reminds me of the Gavin & Stacey episode when Gavin went to see Smithy at work to ask him to be his Best Man and found him asleep in a bathtub when he was supposed to be tiling (It was playing on Smithy's radio at the time) :)
I still enjoy this but It's missing previous umpf. The 2 remaining members still have it but something is missing. For me it's missing the energy of the former rhythm section. The band was more than two members. They can't be replaced but I think they could focus on finding a closer approximation. I'm not meaning to knock anyone. Technically it's fine but the original band together were truly spectacular. As long as they are happy though it's all that really matters. They've given us so much already. I'm just glad they are still at it.
david B the new crap gets a lot of advertisement on youtube, you often have to sit through a clip of their awfulness to listen to the song you came to hear.
amidst the so called post-punk revival at that time, this dinosaur proved that they still roar, Siberia shone as bright as the killers or even interpol, which are pity are going weaker these days
