I am picking mine up today, this will be my first Echo product. What sold me on it was the attachment system. I used a Hyper Tough gas trimmer that I got on sale for $60 for two years. It recently stopped working after falling off of the wall twice. It was no fault of the product, only a dumb owner.🥴😳 My new echo trimmer absolutely will not be hanging on the wall like it's recently departed cousin. I plan to get the brush trimmer attachment and then the tree limb cutter or three hedge trimmer since I'm sick of having to use three extension cords you get my electric one to reach. I've never spent so much on a trimmer, but it is really do much more than that. I can't wait to pick it up and get started.

Those echo srm225 are great trimmers man I used to underestimate them and I wouldn't buy nothing below a srm230 but 8 months ago I went and bought a srm225 I was amazed how light it was and I swapt it on my articulated hedge trimmer which are heavy as hell took out the 2620 motor out and put the 225 and it works great and we have worked the heck out of it daily with no issues at all.

Bruh, I keep it simple just like you. Me and my Dad have a PAS-225, an older PAS type Echo trimmer and one old Echo trimmer. My dad has owned the older Echo trimmers for over 10 years. He didnt keep up any maintainence on them. We had some problems recently but we've fixed them and they're still running. They make real good trimmers for the money. I hear Stihl makes a better trimmer but nobody can convince me to let Echo go.

Good video here ! My brother has a small engine shop ! He likes working on Echo equipment ! He also likes working on Stihl His least favorite to work on is Husqvarna Now :) Husqvarna stuff does run really good and is good stuff ! No one here said a Husqvarna will not run :) They do ! He just has more problems obtaining repair parts for Husqvarna than Echo or Stihl ! Anyhow :) Yes the Echo PAS 225 is good stuff and will get it done ! That is what it all comes down to in the end :) Even though my main trimmer Echo ! I would love to have the Echo PAS system as my main gear ! Would have been too ! If I would have known Home Depot sell them out the door ! Best TU U

I've got the same pas-225. It spins counterclock wise. I have the speedfeed 400 unit. Lets talk about the inside wheel which fits two ways right turning arrows and if you turn that wheel upside it fits more flush due to the rasied arrows/corners that fit into the nylon bushing that holds that black nut. The string either comes out on its own or it re winds by its self when turned on and spinning. Any comments

So i have an issue. I did everything that you said in this video...but as I'm trimming the line comes out, then wraps up around the trimmer head. How can i prevent this? Or am i doing something wrong?

Do you think the PAS-225 could hold up apprx 1-2h of weekly use or is it only meant for that 10min per week for a home owner if its going to last?

I've had a Ryobi trimmer for about a year now... it runs .095 dual line. What that means, I have no clue. In the year I've had the trimmer, I've used it every week during the spring and summer...And I'm on the same spool that was loaded from the factory. One thing I've noticed is the Ryobi trimmer comes with a sort of crank tool you place over the speed feed head, to make loading the string faster. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zRSKP03VM1o.html

Is the fuel mix 40 to 1 or 50 to 1? I love the speed load feature. I have a similar feature on my Ryobi 4 cycle. Lesson learned that 4 cycles run way hotter than 2 cycles which is why they wear out faster. I have a Echo 225 VP arriving today, it'll be my first commercial/residential grade weed eater. I recently purchased the Toro 2020 black edition Super Recycler with the Honda engine and I'm wowed by how good that mower cuts and runs. I don't have a big business, i just do neighborhood yards to pick up extra cash. My previous Toro Recycler is a great mower but its the low grade model and I don't think it'll get a good life being used daily. The Super Recycler has more commercial grade components and should give me years of use. I'm hoping this Echo lasts longer than my 4 cycles I've owned.

2.6 oz to one gallon of gas
@YOUTUBEISRANBYRETARDS
@YOUTUBEISRANBYRETARDS 4 года назад
@@SEFtheLawnSurgeon Thanks. But now I've got a bigger problem with my PASS which only has about 12 hours total on the engine. I have a black oily substance that I noticed while putting my trimmer up that's splattered all over the back housing even on the gas tank. There is a huge accumulation coming from the muffler that I didn't not while running it the other day. I emailed Echo support but hope I don't run into the same warranty issue as another lawn care channel that got completely brushed off by Echo having the same issue as I'm having. It's not a bad mixture ratio. Mine came with a bottle of Echos 1 gallon oil mixture and I used 1 gallon of non ethanol gas for the 50:1 mixture. It's pretty hard to mess that up, and this was the excuse Echo said to the other guy. Hopefully Echo doesn't pull any fast warranty scam on me refusing to fix this. I have used 2 cycle equipment for years with no problems like that and the only reason I asked about the ratio mixture was because I didn't see it listed off the ebay seller who runs an echo product store in Appleton, Wisconsin.
