A lot of factors go into choosing a backpack blower. The need for the right level of power is a given but crew comfort and ergonomics also are important. Jason Ambros of Ambros Landscaping in Washington originally chose the Stihl BR 600 backpack blower for crew comfort. Here he gives a thorough review of the Stihl model vs the ECHO PB-770. To his surprise, the PB-770 had a lot of operator friendly features from superior back padding to tool less adjustments for in field maintenance. But his biggest surprise was the quietness of the blower compared to the Stihl. Large displacement engines needed for heavy leaves and debris are typically loud by nature of design. His company maintains a lot of property in retirement communities so noise sensitivity is top of mind. Jason used the blower for several weeks before filming his review so he could give his honest opinion. Hear Jason’s comparison of the PB-770 to his workhorse the Stihl BR 600.
