Imagine how many times you would have to rehearse in order to get it sounding that tight !!! Just writing a tune like 'At the Farm' is a feat in itself but getting it down to where you can perform it, night after night is truly amazing. ~ Lotsa' talent here. ~~ 🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂🪂
Why hast this wonderfullness only a mere 12 hundred views!!!, These chaps imo are possibly the tightest outfit around!!, Then again............. White denim always was. My level of nerditude playing percussion no one wil ever ever hear must entitle me to some views in this world and peeps i can confidently say.......seamless!.. Thanks boys!, i hum you an awful lot great production here also 😁😎👍💪❤
Yeahh .. underrated absolutely !. At the drums, this boy is damn guuuud . Josh stays my favorite for his musicality, his way of surprising creativity being in and out the rythm .
I think many of the latter day jam bands (not going to name names) would be more interesting if they invested in the songwriting the way these guys do. Great hooks and awesome playing.
My Morning Jacket is another one of my favorite bands of all time. “Too indie to be a jam band but too jammy to be an indie band”. MMJ’s live stuff is v much like this. All about the music & the technique behind it. Playing with electricity. & some ethereal songwriting by the oh so great Yim Yames.
I remember I had such a hard time in my life. I heard that they were coming to the DMV area and I went to go see them at a club before COVID hit us. They lifted my spirits so much, it was so electric seeing them perform. I love this band.
Never heard of these guys until I saw them on a lineup for a festival I'm attending later in 2023. Trey Anastasio Band is opening for them! Can't wait for that night! I'm 7'ish minutes in to this video, and so far, so good!
I love Corsicana Lemonade but i had lost touch w the band and the album but after just listening to CL I had to get a taste of something new. Happy I did.
I remember the trio in the days of fits and d. That was my favorite lineup. Then they had the pinky man. It was like prog garage rock. This is good too!
I absolutely love your sound, White Denim! You guys bring an awesome contemporary rock taste to influences of classic rock I grew up on. I feel this acoustic friendly venue benefitted your resonant sounds too! Keep up the great work ya'll. Much love from Chicago!
the kid behind the kit ACTUALLY pulls off and also evolves (or at least changes) some of josh block's licks, at the farm in particular. fuck me. not the next coming, but an ample placeholder.
I hear some rush influences too... really alot of influences i have heard glimpses of at least 6 other bands in their catalog since i started digging through it this morning
motherFUCKER back at the farm, this performance specifically... speechless. The talent needed to pull that shit off so flawlessly. I mean christ alive that might be the greatest piece of rock n' roll I've ever fucking listened to. It's like the logical step in rock n roll evolution. You can clearly see where bands like Zeppelin & Black Sabbath can be traced. Obviously not implying that I know what these guys inspiration is but this is definitely on par with something Jimmy Page could've written in the 70s.
why aren't the keyboardists in synth groups even half this good? i will never go see a show to watch some one hit one of these pre-programmed button doo-dads. Ironically, that's probably what some classical pianists might have thought about the advent of the electric keyboard.
Used to think the same thing, but with how prolific (they always have been) they've become in the past two years, and the depth Mike on keyboards adds, I think this is the best line up. James and Steve are and will always be the meat and potatoes.
