Definitely get the Echo, Its a great machine! The stihl bg55 my friend has one and he had to have the crank bearings and seals replaced on the first year. The pb250 on the other hand has more power, and is alot more reliable. Mine always starts in under 2 pulls.
Pull the spark plug and check for good spark. If that is good check the condition of the fuel lines. It is also a good idea to take the muffler off and clean it out. I personally use a propane torch to the inside of the muffler and heat it till it glows orange to make sure all the clogs are burned out.
if you have already checked for spark and changed the carb then to me it sounded like it has good compression so maybe the intake or exhaust valve is stopped up i worked on 4 weedeaters this year that had the same problem and it was either the intake or the exhaust valve to clogged to let it start

Would love a shoulder strap so that I would have to use less arm strength to hold upright with my disability.*
Carburetor diaphragms might be stiff, the carburetor might need adjusted or the carburetor could be grimy and need cleaning. You could be using an old gas mix, or the oil could be too thick. Make sure the primer bulb isn't punctured either. You could also have a leak in the fuel lines or the fuel filters could be clogged. another thing to check is the spark arrestor screen in the muffler, make sure it isn't clogged with carbon.
my friend has a husqvarna blower that had a bad crank seal bearings and a carb total cost was $80 to fix so no biggy as it was a $350 unit and he can get another 5 6 years out of it will be good but crap for it to shit it self after warranty
Thanks for the comment! I know it's because it had trufuel in it but it did have have fuel in the tank it was actually almost full if you look closely you'll be able to see the fuel swooshing around in the tank.....
Oh really I thought the bg55 had more power that was the only reason why I considered getting it I've been an echo fan since I bought my pb 410 about 14 years ago I have never had any problems with any of my echo equip all my echo equipment usually always start in under two pulls thanks for letting me know that about the stihl!
yes I sure did all it was, was a fouled spark plug so thanks to lawnboy 8461 I got it running again.I saw your video on that subject great video by the way!!!!
Did you ever get it running? To me it seems like you needed a new fuel filter. If it ran and the carb needed changing it could be the pump bulb or fuel filter.
I would suggest either rebuilding the carb or doing as I did and just buy a new carburetor mine was so gummed up that rebuilding it did it no good because, I had stale fuel in it that stayed in there for about three years.that's why it's very important to always winterize your equipment. lawnboy8461 has a good video on how to rebuild these carburetors if not try donyboy73's channel he also has some good videos on how to rebuild it. thanks for watching my video and commenting good luck..
oh yes of coarse I've seen your videos! how do you like your pb 250 would you recommend it? I've been thinking of getting one either that or a bg 55 since i let my brother in law borrow my pb251 and the moron ran it on straight gas!
