The moon has two sides - the light and the dark. The Light one refers to the beautiful Selene, "the sparkling eye of the night"; the silvery sheen of her crown appears on the full moon and, like her "dark" sister Hekate, she illuminates the night. But do not be deceived by direct color associations - for example in ancient Greece white was the color of mourning, so the division into “light” and “dark” is not that certain.
The movement of the moon across the sky, lunar cycles and phases - all this serves as clues and landmarks. Ebb and flow, daily rhythms, the human endocrine system and many other things depend on the lunar cycles. Invisibly, the moon affects us and our condition, and this cannot be avoided.

У луны есть две стороны - светлая и темная. Светлая отсылает к прекрасной Селене, «сверкающему глазу ночи»; серебристый блеск ее венца появляется в полнолуние и , как и своя «темная» сестра Геката, она освещает ночь. Но не стоит обманываться прямыми цветовым ассоциациям - недаром в древней Греции белый был цветом траура, так что деление на “светлое” и “темное” - весьма условно.
Движение луны по небу, лунные циклы и фазы - все это служит подсказками и ориентирами. От лунных циклов зависят приливы и отливы, суточные ритмы, эндокринная система человека и множество других вещей. Незримым образом луна влияет на нас и наше состояние, и этого никак нельзя избежать.
