I'm a gay man who did a degree in the performing arts in London. I did a performance piece about him for my Degree. He's quite famous in the gay community for obvious reasons.
My friend just got out of a divorce and she is willing to get into relationship with this guy who has family problem and she doesn't see any problem with it. I can only give her advice but I'm 100% sure she won't be happy in this relationship. I don't want her to but it's her decision. Everybody agreed with me. It's not healthy to get in problematic relationship when you just got out of one.

It's a very interesting topic. Such a confluence of elements to form a person like that. Genetics, environment, experiences. Often people say that psychopaths are like a perfect storm. But there's indeed a very strong component of brain abnormality in the processing of emotions.
These people into sadomasochism are really vulnerable to this kind of killer. To put yourself in that helpless position and give someone you don't even know total power over you, incredibly risky.

It's truly sad that the police only took it serious because he was taunting them and not because there were gay men being killed by a mad man. Just sad.
So he had a difficult upbring.. well so do many others who manage not to run around killing people and in fact rise above it and do well for themselves.
Those that rise above it usually have some access to support, help etc. They have a mitigating factor, like an adult who acted in loco parentis, or parent substitutes. Rolemodels are so important to kids from broken homes.

I really hate that! A lot of us have had horrible upbringings and we don't turn out to kill people or even hurt people cause we know how horrible it feels! Saying their a sociopath or psychopath now that's a different thing cause even using certain mental illnesses as an excuse is a cop out too and insulting to those that have mental illness and are just trying to function daily. I have no idea what makes people kill others? There has to be something really sick in their mind/brains to take someone's life. I watch these shows cause it's the one thing I truly think no one understands why, even the professionals. It floors me how many sick people there are like this out there walking among us and we may know some of them personally!!! Anyone that has thoughts or can touch or kill a child is the worst of the worst! How can anyone do those things to a child? I always dreamt of being a mom cause first off I love kids, but second I wanted to understand how anyone can carry a child for 9 months then give birth to that child and hate that child so much and want it dead. Maybe I'm being punished for wanting a baby to figure that part out? I know I'd love my child no matter who he/she turned out to be. Why are we humans so determined to destroy each other when life is so hard already? Things get worse with every continued generation, not better. A perfect example is the case of Ana Keigral 14🌷 in Dublin horrifically murdered and tortured and raped by 2 13 year Olds only recently found guilty in trial even though there was so much forensics and cctv their own statements them and their scumbag parents still went to trial sadly n is to date imo the saddest needless murder in ireland. I got pregnant during a one night stand with him, and we just celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary 2 weeks ago! Our marriage is stronger and more loving than ever, and better than most marriages where people date for years before trying the knot. It may not be for everyone to move so fast, but it definitely isn't something to detest and fear!

Always pays to be cautious. But in a lot of cases with people who are promiscuous like that, it's like a drug addiction. It's an almost compulsive means to regulate their emotions in much the same way drug addicts take drugs. As with all addictions, it's almost always a way of dealing with unresolved childhood trauma.
Lots of people react that way to the killing of animals. You also see it with the shooting of the dog in the Jeremy Thorpe affair. Something to do with the innocence of animals, I would say.
I can't believe the police hadn't got the Coleherne pub under massive surveillance after the second killing. All roads would have led back to the pub in each case. Great job by the fingerprint dusters though.
I just watched a documentary on America’s ‘gay slayer’ Gary Ray Bowles. Colin Ireland’s name came up frequently in the comments and here I am. This was presented very well.

But never - in my wildest dreams - could I EVER abuse them, let alone kick below the belt with cheap shots to hurt them. My parents were victims of verbal & physical abuse by a parent; especially my poor mom. So I try & make their birthdays and Christmases special to try and erase any sad memory associated with those holidays.

@@daisyalice8411 That's right, here in the U.K murder is a mandatory life sentence. The judge can recommend a length of tariff to serve. Kill once and it's normally 15-30 years minimum term before parole will be considered. But for killing 3 or more then the judge can set a whole life order, which means no chance of parole. However if the crime is heinous enough just one killing will be all that is needed. Case in point Mark Bridger who murdered and dismembered and totally destroyed 5 year old April Jones in Wales.

In the mid to late 80s I visited the Colherne pub a number of times as I had friends in London who used the place as their local. I never found the place to be particularly pleasant but then I've never been into S&M or the whole head to toe leather get up. The bar staff were friendly and many of the punters were okay, I just never felt I could relax. What I can say about the venue is that it was ideal for Ireland in that so many used it to pick up a fuck for the night in that transient 'I-may-never-see-you-again' kind of way. Also, back then the 'gay community' had a rather distrusting relationship with the police. And paper press media at the time, particularly a red top like The Sun, were usually somewhat scathing about homosexuality. A phone call from Ireland would not have engendered even a basic level of sympathy for gay men. At least Ireland is no longer wasting oxygen.

He’s the only person I’ve met who genuinely scared me and I’ve met all kinds of serial killers cop killers and armed robbers. He’s huge and I thought if I was ever in a room with him i would not survive. He’d already been convicted of the killings and was in another wing of HM Prison Long Lartin, Evesham, worcs between 97 and 99.
He probably had been molested at one of the houses his mother left him at and perhaps was killing the assailant over and over again. Probably had his wires crossed in the fray.

My husband is a psychopath. He did this to me and others- charms, cons, takes what he wants and moves on. He married me for my money and performance cars, did 10s of 1000s of damage to both of them and stole all my money. Since we are married, I can’t do anything about it. I'm a 42 year old gay man. I've had only three relationships my whole life and each time I was looking for life long love not a hookup. I was a bit of an outcast in the gay community because I only dated Catholics and I never did hookups. People thought I was a prude and maybe I am but I'm disease free and the two relationships that ended there were no hard feelings. One lasted a year, the next lasted 5 and my husband I am with now, we have been together 15 years. If you want to have a normal loving relationship you have to go at it like old time straight people did. You base it on an initial attraction, you build trust and loyalty and love will grow. Love at first sight is a child's dream and it only works one time in a million. Real love is work and commitment. Hookups get you diseased or dead.
