2 Corinthians 11:13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

That verse means we ARE supposed to judge, but only judge righteously. For instance, we are commanded to judge false teachers and even expose them by name (for the sake of the brethren). However, we are not to do so if we are in the midst of their same sins, or else we would be hypocrites. We ARE commanded to judge false teachers, but to judge then righteously. You are making a classic mistake with that verse. Judgment and exposure of false prophets is both Biblical and commanded of us, but only in righteousness.

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭ What Eckhart is saying sounds deep but is very dangerous . You do not go to heaven because you have suffered , No . You go to heaven because you have accepted Christ . Salvation has nothing to do with YOUR deeds .To use personal suffering as atonement is replacing Christ on the cross with yourself , thus leading to the belief that YOU are your OWN saviour and that you just need to “think” about things differently for you to be as equally as competent a sacrifice as Jesus . Very flawed doctrine . If you’re going to come up with YOUR own way of doings , please do not disguise it as an interpretation of The Word Of God 🙏🏽♥️

Sorry but with all due respect, that metaphoric explanation comes from you. The kingdom of heaven is an actual kingdom. God speaks truth because He is Truth.
@deutschblitz
@deutschblitz Год назад
Yes it is an actual kingdom but it is not like a city floating down from the sky, it is spiritual and therefore within. Jesus explained this in Luke 17:20-21, where he says “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you”.
@seekeroftruth476
@seekeroftruth476 Год назад
@@deutschblitz Actually some translations point to "among you" rather than within. It represents the actuality of the kingdom in Jesus teachings at that particular time and the necessity to listen to them in that moment. Also, yes, it is spiritual but that does not mean it is some "enlightened" way of being because that view denies the real presence of a personal God-King above us who loves us. Being in His presence is the kingdom of heaven. I think that the view of scripture that Mr Tolle describes is not christian. That is what I am trying to say. I think many are being deceived by this view. Thank you brother for responding 🙏

@@seekeroftruth476 Yes, the kingdom of God is indeed among us, between us, within us, it is a consciousness, an energy of loving kindness that we have the power to participate in by which we are creating a heavenly atmosphere that already exists even without us but we are certainly invited to enter in and treat each other like close family which we are. The kingdom of heaven is therefore not so much a place we need to find outside of ourselves, but rather something that we need to actively pursue within our own selves and among each other. Do the inner changes then also correspond to outer changes? Yes, of course. There will be communities and even whole nations and planets that will operate on this level of higher love consciousness and they will then literally be part of God's kingdom emanating pure love, peace and wisdom.
@seekeroftruth476
@seekeroftruth476 Год назад
@@deutschblitz Being spiritually mature and thus closer to God has nothing to do with attaining a "higher level of consciousness" through our efforts and pursuits. I think this leads to thinking we don´t need God or Christ and that we can create our own reality as we are our own gods. Only God changes our reality. It has indeed everything to do with humility, sanctification, prayer, love and Gods grace. I think we have to be very specific to discern half-truths.

So we essentially suffer our way to Ascension, each according to his/her own way. But do we not have within ourselves the capacity to transcend suffering? Does not Tolle say--elsewhere--that people who relentlessly dwell in either the past or the future cannot but suffer, & it is only by centering oneself in the present moment that one can be truly happy & therefore free of suffering? And at what point in the evolution of one's consciousness does suffering become unnecessary? Consider the lilies in the field...how their every need is met, though they toil not. Bear in mind that crucifixion on a wooden cross was the standard form of capital punishment in Jesus' day; he was flanked by 2 murderers for whom the cross was as much an instrument of torture & a symbol of the Divine as it was for Jesus. Did the architects of such life-ending crosses--& the lawmakers who commissioned them--perceive the divinity angle when they planned & built said crosses? Probably not.
@deutschblitz
@deutschblitz 4 года назад
Good point. It certainly appears that suffering can be decreased or increased depending on our thoughts and actions. Dwelling on certain thoughts or committing sins / evil deeds / causing harm will lead to increased pain and suffering for oneself. We have indeed been promised that one day we will be mature enough to transcend pain and suffering altogether (Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death' or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away). But it appears that as long as we are the caterpillar and not yet the butterfly, we are undergoing the stage of transformation in this dimension in our material shell which is bound to be a struggle. Even the Master Himself, His servants the prophets and apostles were faced with great affliction. However, I do not recall any of them suffering with illness or disease except for Job. They usually faced their greatest pain at the time of their execution.
@writerforlifeify
@writerforlifeify 4 года назад
@@deutschblitz The true root of all pain--however it manifests itself--is resistance to Love. In my experience, that resistance feels like a painful distance from one's own Truth, caused by a sustained suppression of one's own Light. Jesus did not live in that space of resistance & yet he suffered on the cross, for us. I believe that had he wanted to, he could have easily revised the script of his earthly life to excise both his crucifixion & the 'climax' of his resurrection. But he didn't. For me, Jesus IS Love, Love incarnate; he had no fear of fully surrendering his mortal shell to the suppression of, fear-led attacks on, & (attempted) execution of Love. That's interesting in itself: Love requires our complete surrender to It & at the same time, Love is Itself a wholly surrendered state of being. Jesus did not resist/deny/denounce the Love that he IS in order to escape crucifixion, though I believe it was in his power to do so.

@writerforlifeify

@@nmb4686 Love is All That Is. Nothing exists outsides the bounds of Love. Love is the very substance of which your soul is composed (what else?). So that which we may identify as not-Love is simply fear-of-Love. In this context, 'evil' or 'darkness' actually serves Love by bringing (our need for) Love into sharper relief. I understand Fear as an unconscious energy that holds itself at the greatest possible distance from Love. Dig a bit deeper & you realize that Fear feels deeply unworthy of the Love of which it was composed!

The word within is actually an inaccurate translation from what was actually said, and should actually be translated in context with the whole passage. When Jesus came to earth, the Jews were looking for the Messiah to come and elevate the Jewish nation to prominence. Instead of hearing a message of repentance, they anticipated a Deliverer who would lead them in a successful liberation of their nation. And some of the religious authorities apparently believed that they-because of their careful investigation-would be the ones to first discover the promised Savior’s coming. In Luke chapter 17 Jesus told the Pharisees that their thinking was mistaken. Jesus’ first coming was to preach “the gospel of the kingdom of God” (Mark 1:14-15) and pay the penalty for mankind’s sins. Later, He would “appear a second time … for salvation” (Hebrews 9:28) and the establishment of the Kingdom of God here on earth. Jesus made this same point when He was on trial before Pilate. When asked if He was the King of the Jews, Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here” (John 18:36). In Luke 17:21 entos (the Greek word that is translated “within”) can also be translated “in the midst of” The New American Standard Bible, the New International Version, the Modern King James Version and Green’s Literal Translation translate this phrase “in your midst.” In this sense, Jesus, the King of the coming Kingdom of God, was standing in the midst of the Pharisees. These translations are clearly better, for the Kingdom of God was not in the hearts of these Pharisees. Closer inspection reveals He was actually referring to Himself as a representative of that Kingdom. Further more, When Jesus returns, there will indeed be dramatic signs that all will be able to discern (Matthew 24:5-14, 21-27; Revelation 1:7). But in saying, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’” (Luke 17:20-21), Jesus was explaining to the Pharisees of that generation that, in spite of their meticulous efforts, their mistaken understanding would not allow them to identify the Messiah’s first coming. Furthermore, they would not see the astonishing signs of His second coming-the signs for which they were looking. As Jesus noted, His second coming would be in another “day” (verse 24)-a time period long after the Pharisees to whom He was speaking had lived and died.

@soundscapeproductions9173
@soundscapeproductions9173 17 дней назад
@@NeterRafi77 Jesus was indeed a real historical person, factually held to have existed. The Bible refers to the idea that we should be Christ like in the sense that we are to renew our thoughts and shift them in such a way that aligns with his character and will. The apostle Paul writes in Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” He also outlines the fruits of the spirit in his letter to the Galatians, as he writes: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” Lastly, Ephesians 4:22-24 says “Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.” In doing so we become imitators of Gods character but as humans it will always be incomplete and imperfect.

Thank God, six years ago I started believing in God(Jesus) and started reading the Bible differently. Not everything in the Bible is a symbol and allegory as New Age often claims, many things are literal ( Jesus saying he is God being one of them :)) There is a certain methodology in reading and interpreting the Bible which New Age doesn't take into consideration. I would encourage you to try that methodology, then you might find true gems...

@@jacominahofmeester7815 Hi, the most notable difference is that Paul preached faith alone in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as necessary for salvation where as Jesus taught and repeatedly stressed repentance, forgiving others as well as faith in who He was as necessary for salvation. The modern church merely relies on what Paul said, the repentance part and that we also need to do our part is completely negated and spat upon. The modern prosperity gospel of the mega churches is spitting on the teaching of Jesus himself and has solely elevated its idol named Paul. Jesus died so we could even have a chance to get to heaven yes, but the whole reason we are even here on this god forsaken earth is because we have a work of repentance to do, a purification process we need to undergo which is a life long process. True faith in Jesus means to follow his teaching and will indeed lead to good fruits and Heaven, however most people nowadays believe they don't need to do squad and by just saying YUP, I believe in Jesus, they are good to go. That would be beyond unjust and unfair because any immature loon would end up in heaven. The truth however is that God is putting us through fiery trials here on earth to cleanse us from our wrong ways of thinking and acting and we will be here until we have fully repented. So yeah, people have always liked pink glasses but the reality of things is always two sides of the coin. Ultimately Jesus taught love as the fundamental truth that He is and that leads us to heavenly conditions. But as long as we still promoting violence and wars as a way to solve the problems with our neighbors, we are still living in the stone age and Heaven is a far cry from where we are at.
