You know it’s going to be a good day when you wake up to a new Treasure Books video and you have to take so many notes that you can’t wait to run to your craft space. Absolutely love the journal! There is so much to learn when you venture out to different styles and although you say this was difficult to do, it still feels 100% Natasa to me. ❤

Regarding perfection - I always feel that imperfection always adds to handmade items as it shows the love that's gone into a completely unique item, rather than being yet another mass produced item.

You've given my preferred junk journal a name. I've tried the "grungy" look a few times, and honestly, it feels to me like I'm palming off dirty pages or messed up writing spaces after walking all over them several times. My grunge efforts just look messy (to me), yet I do love them when other people create them - I'll admit to envy; and I agree about "stealing away writing space" with the prettying up (which is essential to the soul, in my opinion); using up the hoarded book pages helps provide the remedy to that "illness" called hoarding. As usual, a junk journal chock full of innovation, creativity, and inspiration. So much fun! Love the interactive elements. Every page is an adventure. What's not to love? 29:21 I've just realized that so many of *your* memories are going into every junk journal you create (even for sale). That is so touching.

I love this fresh, clean look. I’m not too artistic with distressing or tea and coffee dying. Many times my pages just look dirty or like I spilled something. So the few journals I’ve made are mostly clean and “unfinished.” Your video is an inspiration!

Don’t apologize for rambling while you talk about your work. It’s your thought process I’m most interested in. It teaches me where to look for inspiration and how to think outside the box. I look at objects in a whole different way. My studio is getting cluttered quite fast since I started watching you! I bought your book and love it! Keep rambling darlin’, and I’ll keep watching.

You are pure genius. I'm a beginner and was already struggling with how to approach a clean, bright, modern journal to gift to my sister who is not a vintage, grungy kind of gal. I had made up some pockets, envelopes and hidden paper clips using brights from paper pads but couldn't see how to style a signature or blend clashing colours. This video is amazing, now all I have to do is figure out a stripped back version as I have neither your skills nor resources. You have helped me break through the modernity block.... Thank-you so much 🙏

Absolutely stunning journal. Natasa you may see " errors " here and there but they aren't seen on camera, and probably not in person by the majority of us. You really are so amazingly gifted and this shows in every single project you work on. Don't function on what you see as negatives, and function more on the hundreds of things you see as positive. I know we all tend to see our own errors, but in the realm of the total project what we have done is remarkable

Doesn't matter if a feature is practical, people are buying these journals because they're unique works of art. If they wanted practical, they'd buy a bog-standard blank notebook for $2.99 at the local stationery store. Keep innovating. Also, the "...that was a fail. Now everything goes..." nearly made me snort water out my nose. It was a perfect instance of the Murphy's Law axiom (paraphrased): that which is broken will always work perfectly when demonstrated for others.

WOW… you do amazing work! ❤❤❤ Your talent is awesome and I can’t only Thank You for sharing. I started my journal making about a year ago. One of my employees lost her sister and knew that I personally did my own journaling. She asked about having a special book just for her about her sister. I made my first sunflower journal and I loved the process, the relaxation that I got in the process and most importantly I loved the joy it brings her each time she uses it during therapy. Thank You again! I hope to buy your book and a journal from you soon. One question, when making your journals do you always go into it thinking of a theme or not? Take care and please keep sharing with us!!

As you were telling us about the struggle of getting out your comfort zone, you opened up the book at the page where it says "fall down seven times", which is a very fitting image (42:55). That phrase is actually the translation of half a Japanese proverb that says "nanakorobi yaoki" (七転び八起き): fall down seven times, get up eight. It means that it doesn't matter how many times you fall (seven), if you get up once more (eight). One of my favourite proverbs ^_^

Since I haven't been making junk journals very long, and I'm trying to not go overboard on stash, I'm mostly using white paper. Also I'm using a lot of downloads that I print on white paper. Beautiful! I love all the fresh, cheerful colours - I like the vintage look, but sometimes you want a change from shades of brown, and *some* grungy pages (never Natasa's!) DO actually look kinda grubby, to my mind. This journal would cheer you up every time you opened it. BTW, the "fall down seven times..." page is half of one of my favourite sayings. The rest goes "...get up eight times". I know I'm going to watch this video often, for the neverending inspiration.

Good morning from Texas, USA‼️ Natasa! I often wonder what/how you’ll come up with something new, interesting. Just when I think, ok she’s gonna run outta ideas… THEN, boom! You come up with FABULOUS-NESS‼️‼️‼️again!!! You are such an inspiration!! Personally, I also think you’re born to be on video/film!! You put out such top notch videos that are delightful to see, to hear your lovely voice and to watch your creativity come across the world. I get up every Sunday for your great videos, then I put coffee on… There’s very little that comes before my morning coffee!! You’re at the top of that list along with my family and creativity! I truly have to re watch several times thru the week, kind of like feeding my addiction… lol I have gotten several family and friends watching and loving your channel. My oldest son watches also. He says your voice is hot… I think that’s a compliment. Just when I was thinking that you may be out of fresh ideas… haha on me! Here we go with yet another SUPER COOL writing journal! You are simply AMAZING!!! INCREDIBLE! A DELIGHT!! Think you get the idea… 😂 My biggest wish would be to get perhaps a second video. Which I feel bad to say since I know you’re a wonderful mother, wife and dog mama! So, I can wish and appreciate each spectacular video you bring us! The “clean” look is phenomenal!! As I watch, I’m in my craft room and already looking around to see what I have that could be developed into something “clean” and special. Never like yours, but certainly in the theme. The fabric for this book is stunning!! That’s got to be my fav out of the many you’ve shown. Now I’m searching for something just as exquisite… gives me an “excuse” to go shopping for something close to it. I’m forced to be frugal as a life style but fabric can be affordable when purchased in the smaller amounts these books use… I also shop second hand shops, especially in the clothing. It’s a terrific source for Special buttons, trims, and fabric! When I find something incredible I know with your inspiration, it will create a beautiful treasure!!

I love this! I don't do all the tea dying stuff. Can't really be bothered as I have a disability in my dominant hand. So I need a little less is more. But I love how much you put in to it as it shows so many possibilities. I can pick and choose what might be easier for me to try. 💖

Adorable journal! And rich! If I buy it, I'd probably transfer half of the elements to a second journal. Love this video. I can see myself watching it again and again. Great job doing the clean style. I like vintage style but inking the edges takes too much time, I'm impatient even to watch the inking, so I jump forward 😊

As always Natasha, you have done an exceptional job. Absolutely gorgeous, each page is unique and beautiful. I honestly think the bookplate on the cover goes really well with the other parts on the cover, it really does so dont worry about that. I know I always say it but you really are an inspiration and so creative. Love love love watching your videos x

Most of my journals are colorful and full of personality. Just like our lives. Full of magic. I love this one. One a side note....did yall notice her southern accent come out? Most of the early settlers of America came from England, Ireland and Scotland. The southern accent is just a slowed down British accent. My Jennings line came from warwickshire and I so wish I knew what that sounds like...anyhoo...back to crafting.

Sorry I forgot to add...I use the same system to hold my ephemera. It was fun to make and its so much easier to find things.

Wonderful Junk journal : - But I always prefer the 'cleaner' pages and the 'lighter or brighter' colours - to the 'grungy' type of things - which are also very nice - but 'white paper' is just lovely and easy to write on.

I am in love with vintage look. But realise lots of people would like a non vintage look journal, so thank you for this video and the 'know how' Natasha.

Beautiful journal! And, no, it does not look like it's out of your comfort zone at all 😊. Looks very well put together, and very 'Natasa'! 😊 You have a flair for combining things in a heartwarming and cohesive way, no matter if they are vintagey or not. So trust yourself with creating any kind of journal! 😉

I always feel inspired, always!! My takeaway #1. Those wide spots in between the signatures warrant a separate exploration session. Into them can be inserted something short and bulky (but bulky close to the spine area). This way there is a filler (with something useful) only where it is needed. My takeaway #2. From now on I want to be religiously fair to the real purpose of journals (i.e. writing in them). I will adopt a rule for covering potential writing spaces. The rule is: for any ‘stolen’ spots return minimum twice as much to the journal in the format of an insert or attachment. Better yet - cover only spots where there was no writing space to begin with. This rule will give me a guide and a process (my favorite companions). Thanks for showing that stone paper. I did not know anything about it, checked a Wikipedia page on it, interesting.

I like this journal. I think the clean tidy ones look just as good as the distressed ones. They still have the same purpose. I love the idea of storing your die cuts, I'm going g to try that so thanks for the inspiration.

I absolutely love this journal!! I am not a big fan of vintage or distressed, and I have been making “clean” journals for quite some time now. So thank you for highlighting a style that is my personal favorite. I can’t wait to incorporate your ideas into my journals. As always, you are a master artist with this craft.

Oh my goodness! I am thrilled to see this video! I love the idea of a modern junk journal. Modern and “clean” is a great way to describe it. I’ve been trying and trying to find a journal video that shows a journal that looks like this one! Thank you!!!
