Marshal Rogers is probably the best (if not the first) artist, who gave Batman’s cape a soul.

the first pressbutton you showed looked a bit like Steve Dillon to me ... but then you mentioned Cam Kennedy (from 2000ad fame... well sort of .... he was more some kind of second gun, I guess) and it made sense as well. ... that cover and the concept seems pretty up my alley, even if there are some lacks in terms of execution and coherence. and I'm very susceptible for visual "junkfood" like the Mad Dogs books... so yes: I really look forward to your next eclipse video. I wonder about the bad luck with your cams ... since I use just a simple mobile (samsung s3 ... or is it even a s2? can't remember) since the start & I am still amazed how (almost) flawless it works

I wish I knew where I was going wrong camera wise. The only thing I can think of in this scenario is that I'm not just pointing it at my talking head so it's always hunting for the next thing to focus on? I'm currently reading the first Pressbutton series that Eclipse collected and so far, I'm liking it a lot more than the series I covered here. More to come on that front with the next Eclipse video

A friend of mine has the 2001 reprint of the two-issue Detectives Inc. mini. I tried buying it from him, but he wouldn't have it. (I did read it, we loan each other's stuff) Victor Toppi is Argentinian (unrelated to Italian author Sergio Toppi), but even the Spanish Wikipedia doesn't have an article on him. He's had work published in several Argentinian magazines, with different writers. Some of his work reached Europe by way of Skorpio magazine in Italy but I've never seen anything by him. He wasn't even published in Spain in Cimoc magazine, who regularly ran things by other Argentinians.

I got a few Laser Eraser issues kicking around. I had no idea that it was Alan Moore’s pseudo-mainly bought it for the covers.

I should mention that he was only involved in the very early stage of those characters. the ones I showed off are not him.

It's interesting to follow the rise of Marshall Rogers from the backups in Weird War, Detective Comics and so on. A really interesting series to look at is Batman Family, where some of the newer experimental artists were given a toehold. Rogers and Michael Golden both did turns on Man-Bat before being elevated to the various Batman books. The Alan Moore episodes with Pressbutton really deserve collecting, if only as an artifact. His art is nakedly influenced by undergrounds and other psychedelic comics. His work on Roscoe Moscow "Who Killed Rock and Roll" for Sounds burns with the depraved energy of a creator discovering the comics medium. There's some early Pressbutton work, both here bronzeageofblogs.blogspot.com/2009/08/stars-my-degradation.html and here glycon.livejournal.com/2480.html

@@comicKkrakK That was Steve Parkhouse, who was also a writer, and in fact wrote an early Shield drawn by Barry Smith.

I think they're using Gene Colan's pencils with no inks.

I’m still looking for the original comic book series of Dinosaurs Attack. I can only find the IDW reprints.
