Thank you Dr. Dray. I’m a truck driver and the sun is coming through the window of course . I wear sunscreen and long sleeves but I need something that breaths lol . I appreciate you so much
I think this neck gaiter is by far the best one I've seen so far. I found another neck gaiter from another well-respected brand but the length is only 10 inches but this neck gaiter's length is 22 inches which is great because you know it will definitely protect your neck very well
I should invest in some UPF clothing especially the driving gloves. I was impressed by their sustainability initiatives, using recycled materials to make their clothing and they have a take back program! I haven't seen that level in other UPF brands
I am self teaching myself Japanese and when you mentioned about the Verdio Japanese sunscreen in the video, I got intrigued and decided to look into what some of the ingredients in Japanese are when compared with the translation on the Ratzilla website. From what I read in it (and with some help from the internet), it doesn't contain fragrance but does contain a few extracts including such as Aloe Vera extract as well as a few other different essential oils such as Job's tear (whatever that is lol). Fun fact: the word for Fragrance in Japanese is 香料 (Kōryō)
My skin burns with chemical sunscreens, I bought about 9different kinds. I switched to mineral sunscreen. I use Colorscience (suggested by Dr. Dray). Makes my skin look glowy, soft, and doesn't burn. Plus you can choose from tinted ones. Thank you Dr Dray!
I bought some white shirts from kastel denmark from its clearance section but now I really want to buy stuff from eclipse! The tunic looks so comfy and cute 🤩
Thank you for showing this gear! I just ordered the neck gaitor with the velcro and the arm sleeves. I have been waiting for someone to finally make a sun gaitor that stays up high on the neck and the longer front to cover the chest. I cannot wait to try this. I got 20% off my order and free domestic shipping.
Dr. Dray thanks for so many wonderful and informative videos!! I've recently found you and have been catching up on quite a few of them. Your eye lashes look so pretty today. Is there anything you are using on them?
thank you for sharing this!! my dad was recently diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma and i will be getting checked soon since i have similar spots. i have been looking for good UPF protection clothing...similar to texas, new mexico's sun is insane!! i got sun spots on my face in the first summer i lived here :(
Love this video, you skin looks extra beautiful today! Any plans for a cruelty free skincare video? I want to start taking out brands that test on animals, but I also want the same quality and I just don’t know ingredients like you do! Nobody does 😂😍
I have several videos recommending products that carry the cruelty free seal. That being said, remember "cruelty free" is not a regulated claim and there is little transparency behind that claim, despite what many popular sites promote.
Diana Moore thank you! I’ve actually heard a lot of positive things about PC from friends that I consider well versed in skincare so I will look into it more. ☺️☺️
I liked how the application looked with the OMI Verdio UV gel. I found it on Ebay for $10.79 with free shipping. I agree with the comment below that your complexion looks glowy and healthy. I've been wanting to mention that a while back. All those colors looked great on you BTW.
What is a cheap face mask that you would recommend? I’m on accutane & I desperately need to order one because I always burn on my way to school (1hr drive) despite applying my 50 zinc spf 20 minutes before sun exposure. My face then hurts throughout the rest of the day.
That neck and face cover really good for yard work. The other day the comb in hair gave Crystal Gayle flashbacks today the headband and earrings is flashbacks to Mary Tyler Moore’s buddy Rhoda you wear the look well Dr. Dray! Happy Saturday! ☕️⭐️
You should really model for some of these companies. I guess it's some of your ballet skills coming out making you appear So Graceful with the appropriate poses! :-) I even notice your hands when you are modeling I'll say. They are held so gracefully.
I just love the way you smile sweetly at the camera, flutter your eyelashes slightly and tilt your head after you put on your sunscreen or any skincare to show us ❤️😂
Does laser on the tops of hands hurt? I wear sunscreen or cover up all the time the last few years but hate the top of my hands. I don’t know anything about laser treatments I may have to ask my derm I go to her once a year.Thanks.
Andrea that colour looks beautifil on you, hope you and your mom had a nice Christmas together, could you tell me how to spell the page to translate the japanese sunscreen ingredients please as i dont find it? Thks! Love
Loved This Video Dr. Dray!! Loved The Sun Protecting Clothing!! You Are a Perfect Model!! Love The Rust Colored Top, Sooo Many Must Haves!! Thank You For a Wonderful Video as Always!! Please Enjoy Your Day, and I Hope It's a Most Lovely One!! Always!! xoxoxo!
Hey Dr. Dray! I was wondering if you have heard of LUME deodorant and had any thoughts/opinions about it from a dermatological perspective? I have problems woth underarm odor (anxiety sweat is the worst 😣) and have been searching for a product that will hold up, but haven't had much luck so far. Apparently, the product was designed and created by an OB-GYN for any and all body odor, and claims that it can be used on the "most sensitive of skin." I know the topic is unrelated to this video lol, but I just thought I'd ask! I really appreciate all the informative content you put out, your insight has helped me to make better choices in regard to my skincare. Hope you're week has been wonderful!
they all contain fragance (including the unscented one)...aluminum is not the devil...see my deodorant videos i go in to detail about the myth behind aluminum in deodorant
@@dogtrainer4645 I don't understand what you are hearing. I don't hear a vocal fry and she's in a different location than usual as indicated and it sounds as though there might be a little bit of an echo and possibly a hint of hoarseness. Google is not always accurate so I would prefer deferring to my 8 plus years of college education and internship and will consult my professors and or colleagues if there is any difficulty understanding the meaning of vocal fry. It is not a voice disorder. I suggest using the mute button as Dr. Dray suggested if you find her voice annoying. Would you happen to be from that channel who has set out to bully dr. Dray? I think it's very unprofessional for another RU-vidr to make videos that put down their fellow RU-vidrs. I get very defensive, as I did on that other channel I happened across, when I feel as though someone is being rude to someone who is so nice as dr. Dray is , even though she can take care of herself as she has shown you , so in advance I apologize to you if I misunderstood what you were trying to convey to me which I also felt was a bit rude. A simple what is it that you did not understand about my comment would have been enough. I'm sorry dr. Dray to go here. I hope you are having a good day and say hello to your mom and give a hug to Tybee for me :-).
I’ve spoken of you and your sunscreen advice so much, my husband bought me gardening attire with SPF for Christmas! Before I opened the gift he said, “These are Dr. Dray approved”.
I wish it was more socially acceptable here for secular women to wear face or hair coverings on occasion. Sometimes I just want to be incognito! Especially after TCA skin peels. It seems better for the environment to use these instead of excess sunscreen too 👍
Sunflower 13 if you need to cover up then just do it!! I'm a melanomie (I've had malignant melanoma) so I have to cover up!! Your life is more important than some people's (bad) attitudes!! Sometimes you just get tired of all the white gloppy pilling sunscreens!! They also have SPF umbrellas for shade, I have a couple of those.
Sunflower13 You gotta just worry about yourself. It's ok to be quirky and it's ok to be unique. I'm not Muslim but I often wear hijabs to protect my hair, protect my skin and just simply because I think they look elegant. I use oversized spf umbrellas when I'm out doors and big brimmed or floppy hats. I live in Texas where the heat & sun can be brutal so I wear breathable long sleeves while everyone else is baring flesh. I'm aware I often look silly and even bourgeois to them BUT, I look cute without cosmetics because I take care of myself.
The rust tone looks beautiful with your skin tone. I’ve had people tell me I’m obsessive with my sunscreen application. Then those same people are the same ones that will ask how I get my skin to look so good. Go figure 🙄
I know. For the first time I slept over a friend's house. She said, omg you put on so much sunscreen this morning. Why you putting it on again (2hrs later). You're exaggerating. That's too much... Later on that night she said, how is your skin so smooth and shiney... Duh sunscreen
thank you for all you do to keep us youthful Dr Dray I am african american and ppl always comment on how extreme I am with sun protection I just tell them to check me out at 60 we will see who gets the last laugh. Happy holidays
Lol that’s why I’m here. I can’t take the application of sunscreen and I still have tan lines everywhere and even of my underwater from running with running pants ☹️
Just a word of caution. My sister’s melanoma was on her ankle, so make sure your pants cover your entire leg. I like Columbia Omni spf 50 pants for that reason.
This reply is for Norma Karina, I happen to have Lupus and Sjogrens syndrome. My photosensitivety is so bad sometimes that it shuts me down from driving. I love being outside in the sun, but UV Ray's cause a Lupus person to have a flare up, your body can get severe pain in all your joints. Doc you are right on the money with the information and I thank you.
The rust color looks beautiful on you! Just wanted to say I’m so happy I found your channel! Discovered it about 3 weeks ago and have binge watched ever since. not to brag but I already have good skin, had no idea it could be even better! Happy new year to you and momma bear ❤️❤️
Dr. Gray! Will you please talk about how we can reapply sunscreen if we wear foundation? I really want to reapply but this is the biggest barrier for me. I look like an oily mess after reapplication and have to put powder over it and end up with a cake face.
Unfortunately, nothing. I stopped wearing foundation during the daytime and only spot conceal. When I reapply before heading out for lunch, it does move my spot concealing a bit but not too much. I haven't found anything that will allow me to keep my foundation intact. It's just one of those things you give up for proper sun care. That said, an Asian BB cream with a high SPF could help. Missha makes a great one with SPF 42 PA +++. Decent coverage, actually and it feels nice on the skin. Limited tone range, though.
that part about PMLE and masks was so nice to hear... i have to wear these and it can literally be dangerous at times (I've got stories) as people seem to associate these more with criminals than anything... really felt good hearing someone put this info out there that these are actually beneficial let alone necessary to a lot of people
Doc, I have Lupus and I thank you for having this topic today, my sight is affected, I was wondering if you could tell me what the best sunglasses are.
Is it the meds affecting your sight?? Should I be so bold to ask... I found hydrocloriquin a bitch on my eyes the 1st 2 years, but after that, the improved everyday! Good luck fellow #lupuswarrior
Andi bee it's not the meds, I take Plaquenil twice a day, steroids once a day. But I also have Sjogrens syndrome caused by Lupus. It is a salavatory disorder that affects the eyes and the throat, my eyes are so dry and drops don't help also my mouth gets extremely dry and my voice is hoarse.i take cevimeline 3 times a day, it helps but there are days nothing helps. I thank whoever sent the link to the sunglasses.
I have systemic lupus ... Sun protection is key for me, the sun makes me very ill and causes lupus flares! These past 4 1/2 months have been h*ll for me 😬☠️😰
I have a solar umbrella I keep with me at all times for extra protection. Maybe this would help you. Also suffer from an AI disease... no walk in the park.
@@maureenmoran8998 ... I have 2 spf umbrellas, clothing , wear SPF 55 plus or higher every day now! I made the mistake thinking sun wasn't my enemy because the summer before I was ok.... This year no! My LUPUS has gotten worse in quick order in the last year...😨
@@maureenmoran8998 .... Thank you... I just started steroids Saturday morning and I've had to start back on Plaquenil a couple of weeks ago...😬😬😬😔 A lower dose to see if I can tolerate it BETTER this time around! LUPUS SUCKS..... Especially working 5 days a week and a physical job, with a stressful boss who doesn't really care!
Dr. Dray I just love you and your mom. You have such a great relationship. I’ve been binge watching ever since I found your channel. Your advice on how to manage the peeling from Retin A products is freaking life changing information. And your explanations on how they work were really informative. Having a deeper understanding has helped me be more conscientious with my skincare routines. You are such a jewel - thank you for taking your time to educate us.
Neck gaiters are wonderful for hiking. I get mine wet to help keep me cool and then it protects my face/neck. They are wonderful. Love your videos Dr. Dray❤️🙌🏻
Those neck gaiters come in SUPER handy when out fishing in the hotter states, were in OK and that sun beats down in your neck ouch! And especially off the surface of the water, definately needed while fishing/hiking/boating aka any activities in the southern states 😂
My skin is completely tapped-out on any sun exposure, unfortunately, so I wear long-sleeve UPF pants, tops with gloves and a wide-brimmed hat these days. I was interested in a pair of sun gloves w/out the inside padding (which is typically for fishing gloves), so I am checking-out Colorado-based Eclipse's website!
Thanks for reviewing sun-protective clothing 💕 In Australia, this UPF50+ gear is pretty expensive and limited choice... Almost worth buying up and posting from USA
Dr. Dray, I found some cuuute, inexpensive winter hats with a good brim for sun protection at Kohl’s. And they fit nicely, don’t look fuddy duddy or mannish.
I like your Chanel and the info that you provide, that been said, I should mention that, I guess 89$ for a t-shirt is what you call affordable, but I don’t think is the reality for most people. Anyway for the people that can afford it, enjoy it.
I have a couple of different sun shawls for that exact reason! I love for letting my underarms breath. They are great with sun dresses and tanks. I get sick,of reapply sunscreen all over my body. I use spf gloves too. Of course now that it is winter in the Midwest they are stuffed in my closet right now. Oh and otbis nice to see you in a nice bright color.
My brother develop a skin disease after going to Irak for 2 years. Now he has to wear this type of clothes if he is going to be outside for long times.
I think I need to get pieces like that for when I'm gardening. I had significant sun damage a few years ago despite wearing sunscreen and a hat. The shirts are really nice and I also love the gloves and headband. It's hard to get sunscreen to stick to the ears, so it's kind of genius! Thanks so much! ❤
You look so cute in those outfits! I love the colors on you. Do you know if there is an spf 50 sun hat with a veil type of panel that can be lowered to protect the face and neck? I have very bad reactions to sunlight on my skin. I use sunscreen and have been using a big hat with a mosquito net over it, but I doubt it provides much spf protection. Wish I could find a veil to protect my face.
Sunday Afternoons (brand) offers the Ultra Adventure Hat with UPF 50+ rating. That is a 3.25-inch brim; I have an older model that has an even longer brim. These offer better protection to my cheekbones when the sun is not right on top of me.
Yes this is as vital as sunscreen because the SPF of other materials, like T shirt material, is so low, and even if you have a T shirt on, the sun is going through it and damaging your skin! I get my stuff from Sun Protection Australia which have a good range, too. But I cannot find out from anyone: Dr Dray, do I still need to wear a sunscreen UNDER a SPF shirt in peak summer at the most dangerous time of the day? I suspect I do.
Hi! The colors of this brand are very beautiful. I wanted to buy some clothes in 2019! But with the exchange rate and the base price to get free shipping, the clothes are very expensive even with the discounts. I think I will have to compensate with a thicker application of sunscreen in the summer. Today I will test the purchase I made yesterday! Fragrance-free Eucerin with urea etc...the one you presented us! There was a discount of 5$CD. I will apply it on the body! A few hours after a shower, I am having an intensive scraping session. I don't think I will have the choice to buy Itch Cerave. But first I'm going to try Eucerin!
