If you don't have sustainable options try to buy something that is the best quality so it will last a long time, also try to buy 100%. Mixed fibers are not recycled in most places ( even 100% polyester is hardly recycled). In my country ee don't have so many options, specially affordable ones ( a bamboo bra can be 100 dollars ) so I try my best to do my best.
Really appreciate these reviews. Sustainable clothing is NOT cheap and you can't return undergarments if they don't fit like you can with a shirt etc. I'm bigger than the average person, so knowing that most of these brands run small saved me a lot of money and frustration.
Knickey has a first pair guarantee - if it doesn't fit you can exchange for a larger or smaller size on the first pair you buy of each style/item they sell. But yes, I agree it can be a waste. I have wasted money on conventional undergarments trying to find the right size.
I rarely buy underwear so I can never remember what style I like. Sometimes I'm tempted to get the single pairs from target just to see what styles I like
I have the Pact style with the lace waistband. They are similar to a style i used to get from a not so sustainable company. I like the Pact so much better. The band doesn't cut into anything and I don't have to adjust them throughout the day like I did with the previous brand (VS).
I also have pact and love them since I try to only buy 100% organic cotton and linen! I do want to let you know though because I didn’t know either, the lace is synthetic! The other panties without the lace are organic cotton, but I was sad to find that out because it’s so cute!
I haven't looked into new underwear for myself maybe I will as a Mother's day gift. My Mother-in-law invited my child to a sleepover and I noticed new panties in her sleepover bag. I looked at the tag and was delighted it said it was 100% cotton (not counting the band). It's a line from "Jessica Simposon". I researched more and I have yet to see women's all cotton panties from her collection but at least you can buy it for your child in a set.
Thank you so much for this, Emma! I have been wanting to upgrade my underwear as my current non-eco-friendly pairs wear out. And bra reviews are always helpful too! I'm so sick of the super small sizing of everything🙃!
I completely agree with you about Subset (formerly Knickey) and Girlfriend Collective! They're such great quality and sooooo comfortable! I have switched over almost completely, but I do still have some other underwear (which I rarely wear now that I love my Subset ones soooooo much). I've never tried the other brands, but after this review I probably won't lol.
Thank you for this video. I have had a really hard time finding sustainable undergarmet brands that fit well and last. Especially that wedgie factor! One day I will find a brand that doesnt ride up and ticks all the boxes 😂
If any of the ladies in my life are in the market for these types of Items, I'll be sure to recommend this video to them! 😃👍🏼👊🏼 .... Seems to me that most people are likely to pick the wedgie prone underwear.
Temu offers a lot of eco friendly products including low priced underwear and bras. I'm a transman so I know this because I have looked it up. I bought their period underwear from there and I am highly impressed with them so far.
pleaseeee do not use temu! it is NOT eco friendly even if they say they are :( I know prices are accessible but there are cheap eco brands or at least better brands than Temu. My fav period underwear are from Period Co and they're only $9!
Having temu and eco friendly is the biggest oxymoron 😂 highly not recommend. But since you are trans, there is this brand my friends love a lot that us called TomboyX and the quality seems to be very nice! Really inclusive💜
@@lolal-t2027 yesss I LOVEEE TomboyX, great rec! And such good quality. Full review here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i_o0mBgVhI4.html
@@TheSimpleEnvironmentalist I’ve been wearing them for about a year and I love them but I know also it nothing about the environmental benefits so not sure if it’s a company that I should be trusting
