I understand. We have had a week of rain and it is still going strong. Things are flowering and by the time the rain stops, some will be gone. Super wet spring makes it harder to press flowers:-) Thank you for watching!

OK really enjoying this...I'm thinking "Biden" is coreopsis, what is what sounds like "Jam"? I love this technique! I find that the deep purple- magenta coreopsis sometimes prints blue when I steam

Have you tried peony, salvia, veronica, cornflower, sunflower phlox or balloon flower? I planted my perennials last year before I was interested in drying and printing. Love this technique that you have shared. I received my alum and can’t wait to start. I am just waiting for the flowers to grow. 😊

Hi Vern, I have tried salvia, cornflower, phlox and they worked fine. Sunflower petals are alright. I have grown balloon flower but never pressed it. Have peony but have not pressed that because I think it may too damp, but should really give it a try. Experiment and have fun. The wetter items sometimes do alright in the microwave. And what strength is the vinegar water and coffee water solution? Or maybe I missed that? Ps I can relate to hot flashes. Lol

I was wondering if you could mix the vinegar and Alam together and then spray and what does the vinegar do and what does the Alam do to the flowers

HI, I suppose you cold mix them together - give it a try. The alum is to draw the color from flowers into the paper and is most important to alum the paper before use in any event. Vinegar is reputed to set color in dying. This has worked well for me. Thank you for watching:-)
