I’m a guy with short curly hair I noticed like a good 8 months ago that something wasn’t right with ECO but never bothered to check because they changed the ingredients while they had the OLD containers lol I still have them. I’ve gone back and forth between eco and wet line thinking hmm maybe it’s my hair or the products I’ve used playing a role. One day I was curious 6 months ago and bought the Krystal gel fresh container and noticed it literally doing nothing with my hair. I applied GLOBS of it and spent hours styling my hair, at that point I started investigating online to see if others had the same experience and barely found anything. Then I compared ingredients and realized they weren’t the same and they never told anyone lol. This beauty supply store near me still has a bunch of the old ones so I stocked up. If you see potassium hydroxide on the containers of any of the ones you have, they are the bad ones. Look for Triethanolamine and the words LOVE & Pride as the last ingredient. Anyone that wants me to send some to them we might be able to work something out.

@@curlsbysharlene haha no you don’t have to feel guilty at all. I don’t want to keep them all for myself there’s literally tubs of this stuff at the place large buckets and medium. Just putting it out in the universe for those who still want them and can’t find similar alternatives. There are other unknown brands out there as well with similar ingredients as well.

Oh, and there is a video by someone called "liveloveGlam" here on YT that talks about this same problem with Eco gel, but she breaks down which ingredients they have taken out and what new ones they have put in! They simply RUINED IT and my sister and I are going to let them know, lol!

Thank you so much for this video because I thought it I was the only one experiencing this. The consistency is a watery based mess that provides absolutely no hold or definition. It is complete trash now, and I will never purchase any variation of Eco Styler Gel again!

Thank you for this review because I was wondering why my hair was not staying in place as it use too once I applied the Ecco Styler Gel. It was just two days ago that it hit me that the product is no longer as potent as it use to be.

I totally feel you. They really did us dirty with this gel. I would suggest trying xtreme gel the clear one or the doux big boppa defining gel. Here you go. I did a video on xtreme gel. I had the same experience wit the Eco Crystal gel. It's not the same formula and does not perform the same. Extremely disappointed. Do you have any recommendations for a strong hold gel. I'm done with ecostyle as well!
