Nice job! Can you tell me what type of hinge I would need from Blum? I have a framed vanity I built with inset doors. Would love to have the compression style you have shown. Thanks!
I just got notified of your comment, a year later (Thanks RU-vid :/ ) By 'compression style' do you mean 'Insterta' which is the Blum branding for the cam operated installation technique?
Thanks for the demo I brought myself one, Its a great bit off kit. However my drill bit is now blunt and I cant find any instruction on how to change it. Im assuming that I just undo the nuts on the top of the drill bit . I have't tried this because assumptions can be very wrong. have you changed one and if so could you let me know. Thanks. Ive even asked my supplier and they don't know.
I have machined my own templates. Blum has a multi purpose template which I sell on my eBay store. This is a link to my eBay listing. www.ebay.com.au/itm/Blum-Drilling-Template-for-Blum-Inserta-Clip-Hinges-/191821895649
J.R F I have drilled hundreds of holes. But so far I haven't needed to change the bits. They have hex nuts which I assume is the access method. But I haven't actually changed them.
Helmreich Joinery would you be able to tel me if I could use an standard drill bit or it has to be an specific drill bit only supplied by Blum. Thanks so much for your help.
It is funny how I didn't really think of that because I just use the one setting, and I have always the same since the 1980s. I use 5mm inset, but others use 3mm. The reason I use 5mm is that it safely clears tings like radius corners on the door edge, as well as giving the most cover over the cabinet ends. Is this what you mean, or are you referring to something else?
