This watch is fantastic! Punches in way above price point and will stay out of landfill longer than almost all other quartz watches. Throw a Borealis band on and it becomes even better. The Citizen band is actually quite nice and comfortable.

I got one two years ago and really happy with it. Agree with you that it doesn't wear big on the wrist: disagree, however, that the strap is comfortable. After one week of wear I upgraded the strap to something a lot more comfortable as well as classier.
Thank you for the comment. Yep..I guess it is not that hard to find a strap that is more comfortable than this one. I guess in my head during the review, I was subconsciously comparing this strap to SKX rubber which is very uncomfortable for me. Thanks again for the comment and I hope you are enjoying the watch :)
I just ordered this watch and was really between this and the SKX009 (Pepsi bezel), but it is more expensive, bigger and less QC based on what I heard.... I can't wait to get it in the mail, it will be my first solar and first dive watch. Thanks for posting!
Also, if you really prefer sapphire glass, most watchmakers can change it out for you... I have heard that citizen tends to have more unusual glass sizes, so they may have to special-order it.

I'm not a big fan of moding just because I'm always worry about its water resistant. I used to own a SKX007J years ago but sold it (the biggest mistake ever)....so last week I just bought another one ...there's going to be a video coming up of why I sold it years ago and why I decided to buy it again. Quentin Dergan just a thought mineral glass as it does scratch easier then sapphire the mineral glass is less susceptible to shattering and thus better for diving purposes
bought a 0151 about a month ago. I wear it on blue and orange NATO. That dark blue is just so different from the silver and black watches I've worn for 50 years. I like it.
I'm deciding between this and the newer version, 45mm BN0191-55L. The latter is 45mm as opposed to 43mm , and it looks a bit big on my 6.25 inch wrists. I wish it was 43mm. I keep hearing people say this watch wears more like a 41mm and that would suit my wrist better. but I just prefer the look of the BN0191 slightly better.
For my wrist size, 45mm would be too big for me. I prefer not to wear anything over 43mm really. This watch is not too thick so when I wear it I feel like it is smaller than it actually is.
I no longer have the watch. Yep didn't get a chance to do the follow up review as I gave the watch to my uncle who was in love with the watch when he first saw it on my wrist. I still like the watch and consider buying another in the future. The only difference is that I will get the black one instead of this blue.
Have you experienced the date advance yet? I got one off amazon and the date advanced fully by 11:55 pm. With an otherwise exact timepiece this was unacceptable. Some people totally disregard the date function but I personally found it frustrating. Kind of like when you have the tiniest ding on your car that nobody else would notice but as you’re walking towards your car that’s the only thing you can see LOL. However, I liked it so much I’m still thinking about getting another one and hopefully the date function will be better. 🤷♂️
@@tispete924 I disagree with you about the hands. A proper dive watch should have a highlighted minute hand and Citizen has done this well. Day-glow Orange is exactly what you need on a dive watch. It's still visible at deeper depths. Each to their own.
