The issue you had with the first unit has been occurring a LOT. A user on Reddit dug into it and found that the thermistors are failing. The issue is that the $1 parts are buried in the unit and are not serviceable. It's likely that all units will fail this way with no good or easy repair possible. I'd 100% wait for a generation 2 with serviceable thermistors (like the Dometics have) or just get a cheap fridge and a Ecoflow River 2. Cheaper anyway and likely just as functional and you get LiFe type batteries. This sucks because it's a good size and has the right feature set and the price (at the currently reduced sales price) is reasonable. But if it's just going to fail, which I suspect nearly all of them will until they address the hardware issue, this can't be recommended.

I had the issue and had to return it. If you don't have this fridge, not a bad idea to wait. If you got the space for Anker 55 liter, that things is huge compared to this, I'd say go with that since it includes the battery wheels and lever/table for less than this fridge. The only issue is size. I still prefer this one because of the flexibility and size.

It's custom cut by Sasquatch Expedition Campers. Check out the video of the Highland 60 Camper

Mine rattles on bumps in the car. I don't think these are as rugged as the iceco. Or designed properly to be driven around I have had 2 now that do it. The first unit failed after the 1st trip. The power button stopped working

I have one of these. Had it for a couple of months so far. At 35 degrees, it absolutely does not last 40 hours. Not even 24 hours. Probably closer to a day½. It's still a great fridge so far. But this does not last quite that long. Keep that in mind. Also ice making take about 11% of the battery. Keep that in mind as well

It's 40 hours at single zone 39f ECO mode in a controlled environment of 77f, without it being opened. (More like 35~ hours imo) Comparable 40L~ units will use roughly 150-350+ wh a day using the same variables. The Glacier is around 200~wh a day on eco mode for my controlled environment. Repeatedly opening the cooler and having it in a hot environment will obviously increase the power consumption. That goes for any of the coolers, more so for the ones with worse insulation. The cool thing about the glacier is the 120w compressor can be used to quickly cool things faster than smaller compressors. Very useful to quickly run a few cycles on max with DC or AC power to prechill or when restocking the cooler.
