Bloody impressive. Just picked up a River 2 and nice to know it can take a beating. Amazingly it is lighter than my river Min W yet has more capacity and can take this punishment.

I have a few Ecoflow products, and am pretty much overall satisfied with them. Recently purchased two of the River 2 units, and the only things that I can say are negatives, which are probably just minor gripes are, 1. No rubber plug cover on DC output. 2. No "beep" function when operating the unit. 3. AC output will not show current draws of less than 15 watts... anything below 15 shows as "000" on the display, but the time remaining will show how much runtime is left..... ( shunt issue? software issue?) Other than that, I am very excited to see if or when the rest of the lineup will get updated to version 2. The one other thing that I think would TOTALLY put the whole Ecoflow power bank system over the top, is the ability for all the portable units to be able to control the smart generator over Bluetooth and/or WIFI through the app, you could charge ANY unit with the smart generator through a regular extension cord, and have the generator start and charge, and shut off as needed depending on the state of charge of the unit controlling it. PLEASE?????🙏
Hey, thanks for your thoughtful comments! ❤ We will consider adding a rubber plug cover on the DC output in the future. For the "beep" function, you can use the app and open it. Regarding the AC output, its minimum display power is determined by the product's hardware and software. The firmware updates of River 2 and River 2 Pro are expected in December while other products' firmware will be released based on the results of internal testing. We will also consider using Bluetooth for direct connection and WIFI configuration external network to control all the units in the future.
Hoping mine was a fluke that it was defective out of the box. Also, respectively Eco flow, need to work on a faster way to do an exchange. It's over 2 weeks now since I started the return process and still haven't received a replacement unit. Had I known, I'd have asked for a refund and simply ordered it again. Perhaps you could ship out replacement as soon as the unit is shipped back and has a tracking number being you require a video and such.

bs... i bought this 3 weeks ago and already battery is mess it up it dosen't hold a charge or it charging from 50% below 50% you can't even power this on what i did? i connected go pro for 3 days and i setup it up this on my patio battery was just slighty wet that's it... i never drop this anything like that...
Nice to see the highly scientific durability testing😆. The river 2 series look great and fit what I'm looking for in a starter powerbox. Two things give me pause though, 1. Relatively low inverter efficiency (hobotech and jasonoid found the river 2 inverter to be around 70%) 2. No port to connect to a Delta expansion battery or the generator. Would it really cost that much to add an expansion port to one of these little solar generators?
Hi nice to see your comments also! Quite appreciate your thoughts😉 Actually we care about the inverter efficiency and will optimize that once it is stabilized on the River 2 series. Plus the efficiency of an inverter is not a constant number but fluctuates with input DC power and voltage. As you see in the video, this RIVER 2 is really a tough and awesome boy! RIVER 2 is not designed with extra batteries because... you will find that it will be more cost-effective if you get two river 2 than opt for a river 2 with an extra battery. Moreover, you will attain more ports to power more appliances😎 I believe that this tough guy will fit your desire for the starter powerbox no matter for home use or on the go. Just try it out and bet you will love it!!❤❤
Interesting, but I'm just bought river 2 max, and 2 weeks later charge indicator show wrong info, in ups mode station turn on charging in loop, with 1s delay, 10-50times, on next day all is ok ))) In ups mode show input only on app, on device screen show zero) Don't recommend, very buggy device...

The differences between the EU version and the US version are as follows. The US version has a low voltage whose ac input is 100-120V and ac out is 120V while the EU version has a high voltage whose ac input is 220-240V and ac out is 230V.
It can but it is discouraged because it will be more tedious. Generally, AC input requires a step-down transformer. Regarding AC output, if it is connected to 100-240V AC input load, then RIVER 2 can be used directly (note that rated power shouldn't exceed surge power & duration). Still, if AC output is connected to 220-240V AC in load, then it should be connected to a step-up transformer because the transformer will consume some power.
And i wanted to suggest a ruggedized milspec EcoFlow Product. Damn, that would be a step back compared to this 😂 Good marketing. I hope you can keep the promise!
I would have bought one... if it wasn't so unbelievably and astonishingly ugly, lol. I would be embarrassed if people saw me near it. Looks like something I would expect from Walmart, not Ecoflow... Massively disappointed for this River 2 series... Hopefully Gen 3 brings me back as a customer... for now... someone else gets my money... Your dual fuel generator looks super cool though!
