If I have a 12v outlet on my generator can I use that to power the fuel pump? I know the generator would have to be running first to get the 12v but is this method possible? THANKS!

Yes!! The pump has two plugs. One 12v socket type and then clips if you want to clip onto a battery

This is great, but a word of caution is be careful not to let your generator run low/out of oil during extended run times that you will have available with external fuel sources. Just because a generator may have a low oil shut-off, it doesn't mean you are protected from damage during operation between full oil and the shutdown level. It is still a good idea to shut the generator off and check the oil regularly.

Definitely gotta check your oil. But they shouldn’t burn much at all unless the unit is starting to wear

Should I purchase the EcoFlow smart generator? I currently own a Delta two max, I do like the convenience of the EcoFlow, but in your recommendation is there better options for a light but powerful generator

It depends if you want the smart functions. The auto start and stop is nice but there is a new DF unit coming out with start and stop on your phone. If you want all the smart stuff and dual fuel then sure it seems to be doing well. You also get DC charging so if you are using a EcoFlow product this means you can use it to its full potential. Verses another gen charging AC will put it in bypass mode and the EcoFlow product can only handle a 1800 watt load until you are done charging. So a couple pros and cons. Does anybody else have this problem with that fuel pump when I first got mine and I was priming the hand pump the electric fuel pump is like a piston style thing and the piston got stuck in the out position and I guess it's spring return to the up position whatever you want to call it so it didn't work right away but I had to take a screwdriver and you could poke the piston back up in the thing and that freed it up and then it worked I've only used it on one tank of fuel where I haven't ran the bigger tank out yet so I haven't had to prime it again yet I don't know if that was just a first time thing or a every time you hand pump it thing

That pump isn't listed on Amazon anymore they have discontinued it so it didn't last long for sale so I guess it was a fluke that did not last very long so maybe hopefully some other better company will make another version that will actually hold up.

No it will not using dc only ac which you still get Smart Control app functionality but not auto start . Smart Gen two coming out. Has anyone ever been successful in converting one of these to take natural gas? I haven’t found much online for this new generation.

I did convert it to NG with the kit I showed in another video. But the little 80cc engines just don’t have a lot of power with NG like 1000 watts and it just didn’t do well. I tried it for a few hours and it ran but never really wanted to start on its own with out me priming it
