Everything in Gatlinburg is so inviting for a vacation! This ECONOLODGE IS BEAUTIFUL! CLEAN, NICE BATHROOM. Love the hairdryer! ROOM . Nice little place for kids. King suite! Like the fridge and microwave. Chair had nice accent pillows. Plus the view of the stream and Gatlinburg. Nice location a small hotel! $80 a night!!! Nice.

We stayed there in January. It was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. No complaints. We didn’t have to drive, walked to everything in Gatlinburg. Would stay there again!

We have two nights reserved there in May. We have stayed there twice . They have been updating for a couple of years. Great location and affordable.

It would be so relaxing to sit there and listen to/watch the water. Such a convenient location too. In the old days we would walk into a motel room and the clock would be blinking. I would have to figure out how to set the time and how to set the alarm. Then worry if the alarm would go off so I would also get a wake up call. It is so much nicer these days to just set the alarm on my phone and it has never failed!

Thanks guys that's just what we look for, don't spend anytime in the room , just sleep, shower and out. Never considered Econolodge but will now. 👍

I’m humbled to think of some of the drab inns which greet folks into pigeon forge and onwards. And yet, When I was a kid, those would have been so magical. This econo lodge also owns the Chalet up the hill. Chalet has unique rooms and depending on which room you get, amazing views of Gatlinburg! Definitely recommend a stay. Pool is also great. Swim while you oversee spaceneedle and Ober tram. Again depending on room you book! Love you guys!

I really wish this was the Econo Lodge in Pigeon Forge. We will be up there in August (this is 2024) and are staying at that E Lodge for the first time. I would have loved to have a tour of that one. This one is nice and I am hoping that one is too.

I agree Bobbie that the laminate/wood floor is much better than the carpet. The room looks clean and comfy. The price is reasonably priced for a hotel in Gatlinburg on the river. Nice detailed tour of the hotel and the surrounding area. The seating on the river is such a nice bonus. Really like the location too! David says the price will go up now after this awesome review! Everybody will want to be staying here now. Great job as always!

I think this is a nice little hotel. It was clean and nicely renovated. And yes that is a great added bonus having the the river right outside the balcony/ lanai great place to sit and enjoy the sounds of nature.

Will definitely bookmark this hotel for our next visit. Love the idea of not paying extra to park…and being close to so much. The river is the icing on the cake.

Don't take this the wrong way, as it is joke: Econolodge is halfway between beautifully remodeled and murder site. You can tell that room has stories. But they did a really nice job in the bathroom, re-doing tub/tiles, the fact that there are wood floors and not nasty carpet, nice "bedroom" area and the sink in bathroom isn't bad. The fridge is really nice and big (they are usually tiny and broken down - you know ALL about that!) and the microwave looks clean. I have used the nuker a few times if I am staying longer at a place. The river view is out of this world! I have NEVER seen that at a hotel or motel or even a resort! I am nervous on 1st floor but this looks okay.

I have the same old phone and it is trying to die on me! Maybe I have not been paying attention... what's the name of the river? I am a fool (?) for ANY running water!! River, creek, stream, curbside runoff etc! I would love that place! Thank you for this review; almost like being there! 🥰

Wow. I have never seen such a nice Econo Lodge. Normally they are dumps. But I would definitely stay at this one. Thanks for sharing a hidden gem. Those weekday prices rocked. Gorgeous views on the river. Loved the decks ECT plus walking distance to everything. Keeping that in mind if I ever get to go to the area!

It’s nice, that the both of you to feature hotels and motels off the beaten path. Instead going in town, especially in Gatlinburg that is more expensive due to being in downtown, in my opinion.

That outlet is good for the iron or a curling iron if someone else is in the bathroom.
