Economic History Is The BEST Field of Economics 

As an economic historian myself all you say is in this video is music to my ears. I love you man

My favourite economics book so far is "A little History of Economics" by Niall Kishtainy. Takes the reader from the beginnings of economics in the age of the Greeks to the modern economy, exploring all types of themes and economists. I would recommend it strongly to anyone who wants to understand economics, already likes economics, and someone who wants to be able to link economic theories together smoothly.

I’ve always wanted to study economy but due to unfortunate life events I couldn’t even finish high school till my 20’s. I’m in my 30’s now and fell in love with the way economics and politics explain how pretty much the world ended up shaping itself. Have I made it into university? No. I’m stuck in Japan working more hours than anyone should. But it’s a goal I’m gonna reach someday. Thanks for the video! Cheers

First of all, so much respect and love from Turkey. The reason that I am saying where I come from is to apologize for my English. I really liked your video and I can see your amazement to economic history. That's the thing makes your video so reliable and enjoyable for me. Actually my major is on cinema and television. But recently I found myself reading about economic history. I always wanted to know how the world works. I used to read novels, poems, phycological books etc to understand it but none of them gave what actually I want to learn. But after I discovered economic history, finally I find out what I need. 😊 I feel so happy to try to improve myself in a field which is unreleated to my actual major. That makes me understand this world in a wider view.

My university has a whole department dedicated to just Economic History separately from our Econ department, personally I’m more of a maths buff so have never taken any of their courses but they look very interesting
