Installing this ECoS Detector is a lot easier then you might think!! Well thats a good thing for me. ESU have made this amazing unit the ECoS Detector so easy to use that anyone can install it. Really the hardest part about this install is really figuring out what part of your layout to blocking. after that really its plug and play.
ATTENTION:
This video is intended for entertainment viewing and such is for audiences 13 years of age and up. The models depicted in this video are not toys but in fact highly detailed scaled down miniature replicas of the real thing. Hey Jeff. You got it. That’s one of the videos I have in store for the channel. But I have to first change my switch motors. In order to have the ID detection working I have to have railcom working on my DCC system and these switch motors that I have do not work when Railcom is on. NCE decoders do not like the ECoS. Or it’s old tech.

Thanks for this. How long is the cable for the detector? Also, if you setup 16 sections, won’t you have some super long dcc feeders?

Hey James, So the power cable isn’t that long May be 3-4 feet long. The rest you have to use your own cables and by that you can dictate the length you need. Thanks for you question. Stay safe and all the best.

It doesn't work by me. If the locomotif drive in to the section it stops. If i bridge te section te locomotif drives on but te section staus ocupid wen the locomotif laeves the section. Anywone a solution??????? Gr Wim

Hey Wim. It might be that you have the sections mixed up. Ok it might be best to start over again and write down your progress. Take your time do it slow. It can get confusing and stressful. Double check your wires. Also check your blocked sections on your track. Sounds like something last mixed up there. Let me know how it goes.

Hey Tim, It did worked before. last night in eed I been thinking back wat i have done before and i found de selution. My junktjens did not switch to the left ore right and otherwise so i have turn up the power of the powersupply. Now i turn the power down a little bit and it work perfect. It's a mistake to never forget and a tip for other Ecos users. Gr and musch railfun Wim.
