Yep, it's official Roblox has the best animal/creature game development since wolf quest.

its so refreshing to see a survival/hunting game that actually gives the prey a fighting chance. i remember when i played "i predator" as a kid and how fucked you were if you got tossed onto the prey team, unless you happen to get lucky with the predators missing. really interested to see how this develops further!!

the fact that this mechanic is gonna force players to behave realistically makes so happy 😭 so tired of hunting and the entire herd keeps bothering you, even after you make the kill.

This is truly a masterpiece. I cant believe we get to play this for free, it almost feels like a crime

The howling at the end gave me some nostalgia from the beta version of Cenozoic survival. The Dire wolves would howl while in the most recent version they'd kind of just wail. Now it's kind of a mix of the two which I adore.

i appreciate being able to see cinematics AND gameplay from the player's perspective, including the perspective of the herbivore and carnivore player. i also like that the actual simulated parts (alert sounds, scent systems, hunting, etc) are an actual part of the gameplay and not something you heavily push onto the players to simulate themselves

I’m so glad that there’s an actual incentive for prey to ACTUALLY RUN AWAY FROM PREDATORS. In most survival games prey just piledrives you into the earth nonstop until you die because there’s no paramaters against mobbing.

Man, finally an animal survival game that doesnt try to hide its lack of mechanics with stunning graphics!

Just a small detail i want to point out horses when galloping their ears go backwards to avoid air going inside their ears but overall the game looks fantastic

At last a survival game that gives both sides a fighting chance. And on top, its such a smart system. People will be playing realistically as part of the game mechanics, without trying to be realistic on purpose. Its a pretty smart way to coax players to behave naturally with high stakes. Definitely interested to see how you'll handle some of the major issues of survival games: mixpacking and kosing. With this hunting system, kosing will be a lot more challenging.

It's absolutely crazy to have been playing ALL the way back in 2005 when they only had basic block characters, they had Admin t-shirts and the currency Tix was a thing. It's so neat to see just how far Roblox has come since being a kid. It almost looks like it could be an independent game on its own. I'm loving all the new, almost life-like style it has grown into over the years. Go ahead and reply to this comment if you'd like to share your own Roblox experiences growing up.

Fact that they added actual howls to dire wolves, I still remember they said howl barking is most accurate for dire wolves in cenozoic survival Hopefully we get some saber sneak peeks

The Ecos team did amazing with this video! The camera angles and editing are something out of a short film. The players also did a great job illustrating the hunting mechanics and the narration is easy to follow without being slow.

this game is giving me lots of hope the more videos they make on its features. most animal survival games nowadays will just go the "tailride" type combat, but this is absolutely wonderful and im glad ecos is going to be such a well made game

Being apart of this was so fun! I was one of the horses with a dark brown face up until 2:48 :) This game is turning out amazing and will be very educational to those interested in prehistoric fauna and flora. Bringing quality back into Roblox games!

oh my goodness this is goig to be SOOO fun for realism sessions with lots of people. Hell! even just plaing in a good public server as a lone wolf will be fun! I am genuinely SO excited for this game!

This new Mechanics Trailer looks so so good! I’m even more hyped and excited for Ecos: La Brea to come out now! I honestly doubt that the Ecos Team is going to make another game, right after Ecos: La Brea publicly releases, but I think it would be so cool if the next game, that the Ecos Team releases will be another Animal Survival game like Cenozoic Survival and Ecos: La Brea but instead of playing as a Prehistoric animal like you do in these two games, you play as a Dragon (and when I mean Dragon I’m referring to Dragons that you see in popular Media like House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones) instead. I apologise for any bad Grammar or English/Spelling.

The fact this is apparently a roblox game is phenomenal to me, I am so used to even the best looking models being composed of shapes to be able to move like wcue, but these are full blown models to an actual realized game, it’s amazing and I would have never thought it would be related to roblox if it weren’t for tiny details like the buttons and fur texture Amazing job

Regardless of the graphic quality of the modles etc, the mechanics that this game has is honestly probably the best I've seen in a rolblox survival game like this.

With each video, the game becomes more and more interesting, especially now. I'm looking forward to its release! I have a question about this game: how many attacks does a horse have in total? and how many attacks does the bison have in total?

Imagine being able to roll in dung to get a temporary green scent (if predator) to cover your tracks. That'd be cool I think!

Many survival game (out of roblox) have less mecanics and are literaly just combat games whit animals, it's so cool to see how we have developers that love their game that much...plus 👀 i saw a tiny bee in the plants, +500 points for gryffindor XD

Noticed at one point the white text telling you what wind direction you are realtove to was impossible to see against the clouds, maybe they could add a border around the text so people can see it more easily?

Sad that they won't have babies and other growth things like cenozoic survival but I'll enjoy it anyway

It looks nice but one thing can you make like the dire wolf run while biting on the back leg and the herb will get like a bit of a decrease in it speed edit: even tho it 4 likes ty

Would be interesting if they added a red - green color blind mode to the prey animals like real life deer and horses have. They see red as green so it would be more dynamic if your screen as an herbivore was red green colorblind. Just and idea as I saw a cool documentary the other day. Probably too hard to implement anyway. This looks awesome either way

A cool thing to add to the game to make hunting more interesting is to add twigs or branches of some sort so when you are hunting prey if you step on a twig then it has a chance of snapping, warning the prey.

So...Wolfquest: Pleistocene? Kewl. I'll check it out.

it would be so dope if there was a way there could be reproduction system like on The Isle, people could load in as a baby or something

Its so cool that theres just those tiny additons, like scent travelling, and being able to point out predators effectively that will make it more realistic. Usually alarm calls would be spammed, but now you have an effective system. Can't wait!

I love this system, it adds so much realism! The only problem I have with Roblox survival games is that players never really care about realistic survival aspects, hopefully these kinds of mechanics will encourage people to play more realistically and attract people who already prefer this kind of playstyle!

I am excited to finally try this game out! I do have 3 3 questions; 1) Would a new player have to play as a herbivore or can they jump straight into being a carnivore? 2) Are there going to be locked animals that players have to unlock through XP? 3) How would players gain the XP?

I can not tell you how excited i was when I read the title, I said "like the tar pits!?" Out loud. I might try this one out.

While I LOVE this preview of hunting & tracking, I'm very disappointed in the fact we don't get to see how the sabers will hunt, and how the bison will defend. It seems to be the La Brea's team's currently problem of only promoting the ancient horses and dire wolves, and not giving us a chance to see the other species and how they'll work.
