Ms. Stanley, you state they destroy pasture alnd. As per Kyran Kunkel and Damien Austin, Bison remain within the P-town to eat the grass which the P-dog has helped to cultivate. That would be the same "pasture" lands which bovine would also consume.

Gentle persons, I am attempting to farm a very distressed parcel in the San Luis Valley of Colorado that has a thriving population of prairie dogs, rabbits, Ords kangaroo rats, at least three species of mice, coyotes, badgers, hawks, owls and gopher snakes, Someone, really likes or hates our hemp seedlings. Observation has only witnessed the rabbits in the act of decapitating a hemp seedling and spitting it out then going to the next one and doing the same thing. Not hungry, just destructive. I can't declare war on locals but I would love to understand what is going on and attempt to offer an alternative, such as a sacrificial crop. It is a odd year being almost devoid of normal native vegetation and terrible last winter moisture, and we are the only fresh living plants for miles so I am at a loss to compile a plan based on what may be happening other than these poor animals are drawn to our oasis and have only survival in mind. What is the best prairie dog diet? Are they known to damage other crops? I'd really like to create a happy neighborhood where everyone has enough of their neighbors not to go without, so everyone can survive. Any insight?
