Have these clowns forgotten that aes are independent and sovereign countries? They have a right to self determination please. They have decided to leave ECOWAS and there is nothing ECOWAS can do about it.....

I am personally from Uganda. We had something similar to ECOWAS called the east African community EAC just after independence in the 60s which fell apart when the leaders of Uganda (Amin), Kenya (Kenyatta) and Tanzania (Nyerere) developed some misunderstandings. The 3 countries went their separate ways until much later when they came together again and expanded the community to include Rwanda, Burundi, south Sudan, DRC. In other words, countries are free to join and leave these groupings depending on circumstances. So who are ECOWAS to force AES to return if they have chosen to leave? Puppets
I think it would be best if u at least don’t refer to Burkina Faso’s as a military leader. His citizen demanded he sat as president for at least 5 years, and he was voted in also.
As a Nigerien (from Niger), even though I have a blood connection to the people of northern Nigeria, I have SO MUCH RESPECT for southern Nigeria. you guys are lucid, intelligent and very well informed about geopolitics and Western shenanigans. You are not naive and not easily manipulated. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about our northern people. I sincerely have respect for you
Sahel Alliance has the right to pull out of Ecowas: Ecowas has slave mentality purposefully to serve colonial masters. Hand picked people serving Ecowas lack vision on how to grow their countries. Lazily dependent on colonial masters.
And of course EU and Au union were present to support any decisions made by ECOWAS. The European union helping to stabilise the region, REALLY?? Do we have an AU delegation within the EUROPEAN Union.
Ecowas is dead , Nigeria has no vision or leadership. We made Mali and Songhaï and here we are letting outsiders tell us how to run our lives. Hope people will soon have the opportunity to vote and choose between Ecowas and Aes. Ecowas does not have my vote!
I prefer to have three meals, basic human rights needs of water, food, housing and health under a dictator, than homelessness under a democractic elected goverment.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria was giving an incredible speech about DEMOCRACY in the ECOWAS gathering. Is there democracy in Nigeria? A Nigeria’s form of democracy without the freedom of Speech. A democracy where if a citizen voices out a grievance against the government, it’s termed a HATE Speech; for which the individual is subjected to severe punishment. Let’s not be hypocritical.
Please take notice. Senegalese will soon align with the AES. They are the next to abandon ecowas. They are making another mistake by sending Senegalese president. They make it easier for him to see the good about joining the AES. If ecowas is serious about attracting back the tri-state of the Sahel region, they must send an elderly statesman with a clear list of good reasons that are littered with benefits as to why the tri-state should come back ecowas.
Tinubu is apreciating the free.fair and crédible élection in Sénégal But in nigeria he said It's his turn even when he knew he failed woefuly . Usa UK and France are looking the other way round acting as if they're no longer the selves aclaimed leaders of the socalled démocracy
High recession, Senegal will be isolated from the rest of ecowas countries, states in the south aes will pay high plane ticket going Europe, usa , north , or driving up north . Benin will be isolated too or even see his economy crashing.
@wilmabacchus7935 sure, I lost my grandma because of the sanctions ( lack of medicine) ecowas imposed on the 3 states, and I believe a lot of people lost their family members and will never forgive ecowas.
Tinubu continues to amaze me. Insecurity everywhere, kidnapping, one chance, people struggle, everything is expensive but Tinubu focus was on getting a new anthem. There was an attack female su.ci.de bomber with a baby but they here he is....
