The film tells the three years story of Correa's team as they try to convince the international community that both north and south would gain to support this post petroleum era sustainable development model.

Ecuador will never develop if they don't develop their own industries. This is a bribe payment, which does nothing but spoil the government with money and useless projects. The President of Ecuador, Correa in this film was removed from power by the Chinese for corruption, and China today takes 80% of Ecuador's oil money. Instead of this stupid hippy greenie crap from europe, Correa should have taken this money, and funded his own projects, paid his own people and told China to leave him alone.

This is insane, they want to not produce and supply us with oil, yet we still continue to pay them the money anyway. What does suddenly make more sense tho is why rich oil barons nieces and nephews are gluing themselves to busy roads and throwing soup over valuable paintings.

The president is asking for an economic benefit in exchange of what saving the Amazon would do for the planet long term. The Amazon produces the majority of the world's oxygen and restoring it would provide massive benefit to everyone on the planet, reducing climate change, restoring waterways, providing more space to grow fruits and vegetables to be exported for other countries' consumption. It sounds kind of screwy at first glance, but makes sense if you think about it. If we don't protect the planet, we will all die, so what does money matter anyway?

Yeah right, that's why most of ecuadorian indigenous leaders got so mad when oil prices at gas stations raised on recent years. If they were truly against oil, they shouldn't be mad about it, because at the end shouldn't we encourage the use of public transportation and not particular vehicles? Its all about demagoguery and the chance to seize power and govern.

The president in this film was removed from power by China "for corruption" and China negotiated with the "new president" to take 80% of Ecuador's oil production. This video is not capitalist, and Exxon should have developed this field, so Ecuador could have fought back against China's Banks

Correa got out and can't return to Ecuador. It definitely has ties to China taking control of the country because as of today China gets 80% of Ecuador's oil exports
