I know this is an old video, but this army is amazing. I'm just getting into ECW and you have convinced me to go with 15mm. Wonderful stuff! Thank you for sharing.
Lovely little army, and all in six weeks. Wow. Just a note about inks for use in washes. Indian ink is based on carbon particles suspended in a solvent. Most painters would prefer acrylic inks, which are based on the same pigment particles you find in paints, just more finely ground, suspended in the same acrylic medium used in modelling paints. Indian ink will tend to darken the whole figure, while properly mixed acrylic inks should flow better into recesses and not stain the surfaces so much (some added dishwasher rinse aid - aka flow aid - will help this happen).

6mm or 15mm? I can’t decide. Flags certainly look better in 15mm, but then 6mm should allow me to replicate larger actions with more figures on the table. On the other hand, 6mm are pretty useless for skirmish-type games like Sharp Practice. Hmmm...
Stig ofthe Dump - I’m looking at Baccus 6mm, which seem to be massively bigger than a few Heroics and Ros I inherited and which are definitely too small to show any detail at all. But yes, 10mm may be the way to go.
Pasha Staravoitau - Agreed, the real problem is finding figures that suit. Below about 4mm it doesn’t matter as every uniform looks the same! (I still haven’t chosen, by the way; still working on my earlier 1/72 project.)
Pasha Staravoitau - Amazing coincidence, I was hoping to build Cossacks, Swedes and Poles but for the time of the Khmelnitsky rebellion, so c. 1648 to 1654 and the Swedish Deluge 1655-60. But I really dislike the figures produced in 15mm by the Polish firm, I forget it’s name (Wargamer?). Apart from being expensive, they are grossly inaccurate - simply taken from the famous 1970s film. Can’t face doing it in 1/72, where there are far more figures available. Too much work!
Pasha Staravoitau - Been interested in the period since seeing “that” famous Polish film as a lad. Proportion and uniform-wise the 20mm Poles from Irregular Minis look fine; it’s the design that looks a little odd and unfinished. The Cossacks are pretty hopeless though. As for rules, hmm... Well, for small scale skirmishes I would use a variant of Sharp Practice. Really fun, though less good for cavalry battles. For really big battles with 10mm or smaller figures, I don’t really know yet. Still looking...
