So fun fact, when this episode aired, it was part of a giant crossover on Cartoon Network called 'Invaded'! Creators from 5 different shows collaborated together to create episodes with a common theme about aliens, and Ed, Edd n' Eddy was part of it. In order, the crossover went from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Ed Edd n' Eddy, My Gym Partner's a Monkey, Camp Lazlo, and ended with The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy. The aftermath of this specific episode was that aliens were seeking to take over the world and create copies of everyone on Earth, and one of the endings involved the leader of the invaders drinking brain juice from 5 randomly selected characters from each show--except they were the stupid ones. So, Ed was one of them LMAO It was a crazy time back then!
@@anamericangrizzlybear8315 If I can remember correctly only Ed, Edd & Eddy and My Gym Partner's a Monkey shows didn't associate the Aliens with Cheese.
FUN FACT: This episode was part of an event that Cartoon Network had known as "INVADED". The premise was that 5 shows they had at the time (Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, My Gym Partners a Monkey, Camp Lazlo, Billy & Mandy, and Ed Edd n Eddy). All 5 eps are connected by the fact the Aliens invading are the same throughout the event
It love how the show casually reveals each kid's home life with the background. You can totally imagine Kevin's parents being the type to have a fall out shelter
Hilarious episode and also other CN shows were also having an Alien Invasion theme episodes. The other show I can remember was “My Gym Partner’s a Monkey.”
Out of all the episodes... The Fosters one was dowright bad and cringe (same as for that whole season). My Gym Partner's and Camp Lazlo's episodes a big meh And Billy and Mandy's part... well it was something.
Yep, out of everyone between the cringe annoying one from Fosters (as that whole season was too) and the big meh from Camp Lazlo and My Gym Partner's a Monkey ones, this one and the Billy & Mandy were the decent cool.
Fun Fact: Originally Cartoon Network wanted an epic special crossover invasion episode with Ed Edd N Eddy, Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends, Camp Lazlo, and My Gym Partner's A Monkey, but the respective creators don't want to risk it due to writing differences with the script. So instead we get Kids Next Door and The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy complementing their supernatural theatrics with action Sci-fi. 🥲
This became the series most disturbing episode. I don’t know if it is, but someone said it is, and I don’t see it, just an episode I know would happen.
Well I can see why someone thinks that way with Jimmy’s nightmare and flashbacks, the ‘meteorite’ with Ed hatching from it, and the possibility that Rolf and his family might be a Cthulhu cult, and turns out in the end that the nightmare came true.
you know if I were double D near the end here’s something he would say, I really understand what Johnny means by aliens it’s not the creatures of above it’s actually way to say that people there people from a very different country who visits a country that they’re not familiar with or related to their culture that kind of term
I feel like with season 5&6, I can only remember bits and pieces of the episodes, but never like, oh, that's the episode with, or oh, that's the one where this happens. Unlike the earlier seasons, where each episode kinda felt unique and more iconic
Hey, bros, glad you caught this one. If you're wanting anything more besides the movie, there are two additional episodes that were made as part of a season 6 of sorts before they decided to just make the movie, but I don't think they're on any streaming services. If you bros do decide to check them out, they are two extra normal episodes, but I wouldn't blame you if you didn't wanna deal with that hassle.
This episode and the Halloween special make me wish Danny Antonucci made a horror-comedy series in the vein of "Invader Zim" and "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy." His art and animation style work really well with grotesque surreal horror
Oh don't worry just yet it's not the end yet cause I'll say this once we get to the end this is one more it's called the big picture show that one is going to be an amazing one to watch do react to that one once we finish up the rest of this show ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great reaction you guys!!! I hope y'all react to the Valentine's Day episode, and the final episode from Season 6, after that it's Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show
I don't get why Double D deserves a butt whooping. He's not like Ed and Eddy. I rather have him be where Kevin, Nazz, and Rolf are at; eating pie. Double D is also my favorite character and Ed on the show. These are one of the reasons I don't like Jimmy, and this is one of them. I don't see Jonny and Plank in Jimmy's dream. Where are they? 🤔😠
